Neither AMD or Intel are using close to the amount of FSB throughput they have. Right now the market is coming back around to wanting power. AMD can brag about the hypertransport but they are still limited with the RAM they use.
AMD was ahead, Intel has regained the lead with huge moves all this year. Intel created an architecture change as big as the shift from the i386 to the Pentium by coming out with the Core and Core 2 duo. Vpro for managebility, Viiv for sharing media, pushing over 40 million 65nm chips while AMD won't have any until December.
This would be just like the magazines in and newspapers in the movie Minority Report where the headlines are showing up as the news happens and things are moving and scrolling accrossed the page.
Just think, the entire magazine could be sold with only 2 double sided pages. You would have a cover, and back...then all the insides would be displayed electronicly through a simple "touch to flip page" here.
The downside...? Right now, magazines last years for your kids, your kids kids to go back and look at. If everything is electronic then it obviously requires power which means that 50 years from now it wouldn't work and the type of batteries it used probably wouldn't be around...so you'd have no way to go back and look at something that happened.
I bought this phone the day it came out, I went to 3 different stores to try and find one.
I get it home and I'm making my OWN ringtones from mp3's I either made myself, or ripped off CD's I own and I was a happy camper. The bluetooth thing defininatly pissed me off, but I had a cable and a 128mb Transflash card.
Then my phone breaks, and I need a new one from verizon.
Those bastards put a new flash on the phone so you can't "copy" or "move" MP3 or MID files from the transflash to the phone. So basicly, no more custom ringtones.
Second, they made it so there is a limit to the amount of video it can take, it used to be with the 128mb card I could take 60 minutes of video if I wanted. Now it's cut to SHORT, MEDIUM, MAXIMUM where maximum is about 15 seconds.
I was SOO furious at verizon for being such a greedy bastard, I understand they want people to pay for ringtones and stuff, but I payed a premium for that phone and I ALREADY HAD THE FUNCTION and it was taken away 5 months later. That is what pisses me off most.
It almost seems as though I typed this myself. I do the same exact thing, I'm not a lazy or depressed person but I find myself forgetting things all the time and work piling up behind me but what am I doing now, reading slashdot.
I can fill my whole day with tasks that mean nothing and go home at the end of the day without a single thing being done. So what did I do all day? I don't even know because I can't remember by the next day so what does it matter.
I want to do more things, I excersize but get bored after about 10 minutes. I play an xbox but get bored no matter what game I play. Hell, I can't even talk on AIM anymore because I get bored and I just want to do something else.
It has gotten to a point where I actually am drifting away from people who are talking to me and I hear them say my name and snap back. I never used to be like that. I'm 21 now, and through school I used to remember everything, be the leader and always know what to do. I find myself being lost and having problems focusing.
Around here there is no cheap theater.
Regal is the only one around, and it's 8.50 per person for the movie and everything costs you at least two fingers off each hand. Its such a rip off but people don't have the choice.
There is no where do we want to see the movie. It's simply, do you want to see the movie or not.
I went to ITT Tech, AND wasn't really impressed with the overall course because I feel like the curriculum was challenging in the least. I for one, was one of the youngest in my class, 19 at the time (I'm 21 now) and going for a career instead of just a job.
Everyone else in my class was going BACK for another career choice. I graduated with a 3.8 which is good, but I know it wasn't because I'm a 3.8 student, it was because the school didn't challenge me enough and I coasted through.
I did however end up at a good job a month before graduating (no thanks to them). So I guess it all worked out, I just feel "taken" because of 30,000 dollars for piece of paper that proves I know what I am doing.
I was curious to see how it would respond to "bad" words and it appears once it figures out what you're going after, and it doesn't like it that it just won't offer suggestions.
ex. SEX
S.....E.....then it drops and won't offer any thing more. What if I wanted to look up sexuality?
Same with "porn" and particular body parts.
Not that this is a bad thing...but there is a filter behind this I would think so that it doesn't pop up "bad" things for people who are just looking up "popcorn".

It's all about Media Center and includes downloads, knowledge base and howto's. That's how I set up my Media Box.
I use a Antec Aria case with a Athlon64 3200+ and 1gb of RAM. It has a hauppauge 32552 tv tuner and a ATI 9600 graphics card.
I run XP Media Center 2005. I have the audio output hooked to a stereo head unit type thing which runs to two speakers.
Obviously I went with a nice 19" LCD for this and haven't had a problem yet. It's actually pretty impressive to see this for the first time when most people walk in and ask where my TV is or where that sound is coming from:P
I went to the "long form" and apparently it does not like my ISP's email (roadrunner)
MYNAME@twcny.rr.com
So I am unable to submit the form...unfortunatly that is the email I have associated with paypal.
Same here, I have the same printer and it worked great at first but now its terrible: never works; prints wrong or lacks colors; cleaning does no good. I want a new printer also, was thinking about the epson C60, because i like the epson name rather than the HP's.
That wasn't his point, the point was that he would never buy the album, whether he downloads the song or not, he would never buy the album so the record company is not losing anything by it.
This article would have been a lot more persuasive minus the name calling. At first his ideas were readable but about 1/2 way through it got so that all he was doing was "flaming" the US about the last 250 years of our existance. He ruined his entire article.
I live near Onondaga Lake (in central new york). It was polluted years ago by Allied Chemical which has since moved. On warm and muggy nights, a strong, disgusting smell circles the lake and surrounding area.
How can companies get away with this type of pollution. Its terrible what has happened to our beautiful (formerly) lake!

A local Dell spokesman has effectively denied rumours that it's acquired rival PC vendor Alienware, suggesting that all speculation should be taken "with a grain of salt".
