But you forget that it isn't the police's job to do it. That's what the justice system is for. If someone is that fucked up and on our roads risking lives, they deserve to be arrested. Arrested, and that's the extent of their powers. The police should have incapacitated rodney king, not beaten him repeatedly after he hit the ground. Whether fucked up on drugs or just picking up shopping while tired, nobody deserves a hiding from the group of trained enforcers who get to eat because of their victim's taxes.
One easy way around it would be to make sure your car stereo is at a volume sufficient to make it onto the police recording when you get pulled over. After you arrest, it's a simple matter of reporting the unlawful reproduction of the copyrighted material to our good friends at the RIAA! Payback, as they say, is a bitch.

I reckon IHBT, but there is NO JUSTIFICATION EVER for paid public servants to commit crimes against civilians. Are you saying because he was a low-life he somehow deserved a beating from a government-sponsored peace force even though they were not aware of his history at the time? Or are you trying to justify the behaviour of those that feel they are above the law? He was hit more than once, and was outnumbered heavily by armed officers. We may all know he is a deadbeat, but so are you (In somebody's eyes, anyway). Do you deserve random beatings by those who are paid to protect you from violence in society?
The AC bastard is on to something. This is EXACTLY how I have my setup, with a box on it's side stacked behind all the other shit out of sight, plugged into the amp, alway switched on, connected to one of the AV channels on my amp(like your nintendo). Wireless keyboard and mouse (no other shit needed on the already full coffee table),with CAT5 running through the wall upstairs to the... well, office, technically. but it works a treat, lots of storage upstairs, no hassle downstairs. If push comes to shove I can lean behind the cabinet and reset the box.
Yeah, I just set up a quake server in a milk crate. A couple of minutes with the dremel, and I even have all the relevant holes in the crate. It's like a real case, yet stackable!

As long as the computer itself hold together, you don't really have to worry about tech advances until you find a format you like, anyway.

It was mentioned on both IGN & Planet Gamecube earlier this week, and as stated, I will try to find the link to the article I was reading. Oh, and your comment on the kiddie-cube? Besides the fact that there are almost exactly the same adult titles on all systems, only a fucking moron would call it "kiddie-cube", implying there are NO adult titles on the system. I agree. You have the advantage of cool games you can play with your wife and family that have an extremely low difficulty curve (Mario Party 4, etc) or the action games of your choice (Splinter Cell, Zelda, Capcom Vs. SNK2, etc). And, yI hope this is true, but I read somewhere earlier this week that GTA & GTA-VC are slated for an early 2004 release on GCN. I'll try and find the article I read and link it for you.
Eternal Darkness on Gamecube is excellent. I recently picked it up second hand, and I am more an action gamer than an adventure gamer. It kept me up for three nights straight. The difficulty curve was perfect, the gameplay/puzzles excellent, but what I really loved were the so-called "sanity effects". Man, the first time the game started playing tricks on me I almost had kittens. It was about 3 in the moring, me a little stoned, the place dead quiet, and all of a sudden the green volume bar on my TV started moving up and down by itself. I freaked. I don't want to give away some of the other effects because they were great, having not expected anything like it. No other game has tried to blur the line like that, and man it worked. Imagine walking into a room, being surrounded by zombies, blasting all but your last 2 shells from your shottie while retreating only to have the "joystick removed" screen come up. I almost screamed, then the screen flashed and i'd never really entered the room after all. Insane.

I've skated for about 15 years now, and one thing i've noticed since the popularity of the TH franchise is the number of non-skaters who don't really understand how hard these moves are in real life. The game makes it all look so easy. It's a weird feeling being asked by a 12 year old "can you do a 540 heelflip to manual to hardflip for me? you can't? you must suck!";) It goes the other way too, where a lot of younger kids I see at my local skateparks get into skating because they enjoy the game so much, but get frustrated and quit because they can't rip in a week or two. It's a bit dissapointing really. The game really is the hotness, though.

Give it a bit more time. I've been playing timesplitters2 on GCN for a couple of months now (TS2 has standard 1st person shooter controls), and when I started playing Metroid last week it was very difficult to "snap out of" my previous FPS training. I'm starting to get the hang of it now though, you just have to remember it ain't a shooter, it's a puzzle/platformer. I wouldn't write off the GCN controller for FPS's just yet though, go hire out TS2, believe me, I prefer it (control as well as graphics, etc)on my GCN moreso than on my PS2.
At least you only have to make a couple of calls, one to each other segway owner.

Same in Australia. Many video shops around my place have a PC game rental stand right next to the PS2, gamecube and xbox rental stands.
