    Speed has been more than sufficient.. It really depends on how many seeders there are.. I do think though that there are many bit torrent users that do not use a vpn service and are thus "easier" to focus on than someone who is using a vpn..

    I wonder how many of the 100,000 were using a VPN? I run a VPN (supervpn $4 a month) before downloading content. I am aware that vpn can be broken but figure they are not going to spend that resource when there are plenty of other users downloading without VPN. Is this true or am I making a bad assumption?

    Not everything is so black and white.. maybe you need to "educate" yourself to make a decision. Maybe it's not clear what your ethic is but you really need to stop and think about it.. Perhaps your perspective is flawed and working it out will give you clarity. In truth, people violate their ethics all the time and self-justifiy it. If you are going to violate your ethics, wouldn't it be better to be honest about it? I also applaud his sense of ethics and it would be great if entire companies were boycotted by common social decree until they provided jobs here instead of outsourcing them.

    One thing that keeps bothering me is how can we make assumptions about anything, including "universal" constants and laws? If the universe is so big, what if it's possible to travel faster than the speed of light or different laws of physics exists or don't exist and we simply can't see it? It's like being an ant in an ant farm in a skyscraper. The shear volume of space just prevents you from seeing it all.

    Perhaps they were testing the feasibility of the aerial delivery concept with a cheap catapult to see how border defenses reacted. Seems like they reacted fairly quick if they caught the catapult. Another method might not work out any better..

    So I have a 75% hearing loss. I go to the movies anyways and enjoy the show but can't understand most of the script. So now if I want to do so I should go buy the movie or pay more to rent it? Noooo.. I download it and get the subtitles. I already paid for it. Does this make me evil?

    Maybe it's chemistry, but Fringe has "character"! It's interesting, well made, the acting is good. It's like that book you can't put down because it's too good! Look at Bones.. basically not a bad show but same deal.. dead person.. we figure out how he/she/it dies using amazing science.. little love thing.. but kinda boring because it really doesn't do anything differently from episode to episode. Fringe seems to really be creative in it's plots.. if you haven't really watched it then maybe you are not up to date on it?

    ..and facing violent, heavily armed drug smugglers and human traffickers.

    They will also be facing women, children, teens, people who just want better for themselves and their children.. All these solutions everyone is presenting (snipers, auto sentries, land mines) ignore the fact that these are people like us. You say hello to them as neighbors and when you are out shopping. Have we decided as a society that those who do not fit our ideal should just be "gotten rid" of? Our grandfathers fought a war against those who believed that.

    The real issue is that they come here because they have no choices and we present them with a choice that is worth the risk of life and limb. If we want to change that then we have to make them want to stay in their country. Eliminating the choices here (no more illegal hiring) or providing them with more choices there (allocating our resources to change their government through annexing Mexico or through other means.. I can't see any other way, do you?

    The metrics is a good idea. This will allow the owner to see what it costs him to not have good QA. However, eventually, the conversation will float to how expensive will it be to have QA? Like any security situation, you will want to find the happy medium where the trade off in time/money balances the risk. Given you only have a few hundred users you might wish to experiment by adding QA incrementally. Also, you might find why those bugs are coming back? Poor documentation? Or are developers not maintaining up to date code bases? Process is just as important as QA when it comes to fixing bugs.
