I don't think they will offer a light version. What would be the point? It doesn't seem to have a feature set as big as Final Cut or Logic Audio. If you had to cut a chunk out, you'd end up with something like iPhoto.
I also noticed that. Why the hell bother to place a photo in the artical if they know it has nothing to do with it?
"llustration photo - the car in this image is not related to the story. Actual pictures of Engineuity's system are classified at this stage.

"There's not much software out there that is essential[...]" "Or, hell, go write your own game from scratch (or buy one from an existing company) and get rid of the EULA all together." "Have you ever tried to negotiate? For my company, we have contact info posted on our website."
You sir, are unrealistic and have been reading too much Ayn Rand.
They also seemed to have replaced the reload and stop buttons with a single, double action button! So you can experience the joy of accidently reloading a page when you intended to stop from loading, just like Safari!
This is a good idea. Seriously. Whenever I read any of the shit that this guy writes in the name of journalism, I feel strong need to punch him, and I'm not normally a violent person. I think there is also something about his stupid mugshot that adds to my rage, too.
I don't see how you can possibly compare the two concepts. You're talking about forums. Wikipedia is not a forum. It also has a very different way of managing content. Sure, anyone can vandalise Wikipedia more easily than a normal forum. But it can be repaired even more easily. And since anyone can do it, you now have more people who can easily repair pages than people who want to vandalise it.
I have used Wikipedia about 10 times in the last 2 weeks because it was the easiest way to find info, and it was also correct. Perhaps it was useless for the topic you were researching, but not for what I was looking at.
How is this a "bad move"? A bad movies implies that this will cost Apple something, not simply that it won't take off. Some of us would call this a "sensationalist headline."
It seems to me that "insightful" commentary about any company on Slashdot is about as useful as asking my dog for directions when I'm driving. Please, leave business talk to people who know what they are talking about. OK?
Netscape is based on Mozilla, and has been for several years. Netscape 7 was much better than IE 6, so I suspect that Netscape 8 is even better. But not as good as Firefox, of course.
Yeah, if you used one of these monitors on your average home computer, photos and gradients would look horrible. The amount of banding would probably turn a really nice image into something that looks like a 256 colour GIF.
Have you even seen the Aperture quick tours? It becomes very obvious why the requirements are so high.
The answer is a legal yes. Some people here need to learn how to read more carefully.
That's not nearly as bad, as they are products names. Infact, they combine both a distinct, yet oftern descriptive name of the product.
...solely an accommodation to you...

"My Videos, My Pictures, My TV, My Music." My God, it makes me want to kill My Self.

He just wants you to use his DRM.

Have you not read their tagline? ;)

That's not the same as what the other poster suggested. How is someone to know which edit is the correct or best one?

Only if you do it for me. It might take a while.
But most monitors I know of don't adjust the brightness to match the colour mode. Are you saying that this one does?
What about images?
It is pretty crappy, but I'd still take it any day over IE.
How do you plan to encrypt it?

Does being outside on a sunny day seem the same as being indoors with the lights on at night?
