How can they really test every cell to determine if there has been damage? A longer term study monitoring cancer rates would be more useful.
I'm not saying that we shouldn't question the current guidelines, but changing them because of a short study like this would be crazy.
When my bicycle got stolen from my apartment courtyard in NYC I was impressed by the detective work. The surveillance camera got a fuzzy picture of the culprit and I knew the name of someone he spoke to. The police found the home of the person named, determined who the friend was, found him and arrested him. I didn't get my bike back, but hey having the guy in jail for a while is at least a deterrent.
In most states homes and cars cannot be repossessed for medical debts. You just have to make a minimum payment each month($10) and the collectors are powerless.
Demonstrating the ability to live below your means is a setup for failure?
If you don't have the self control and discipline to put aside 2 months of earnings, maybe you shouldn't be making a life long commitment commitment. It's not like you're ever going to do it again. Right?
Freshdirect delivers groceries here in the NYC area. They bought all the equipment from Webvan's fire sale and are doing quite well. Time is on their side - shopping online is just a more comfortable experience than it was 5 years ago.
Here in austin texas we pay an anual fee of $30 dollars for police alarm monitoring. We get one free false alarm every year. After that we pay something like $25 for a false alarm.
The police show up within minutes. Very reassuring.
I think any alarm company can be part of this notification program - that's what makes the $25 a month monitoring fee worth it.
Don't underestimate the value of team sports for learning discipline, focus, planning, cooperation, and social skills - all essential skills for any great achievement.
It matters how far large you believe the government should be. I believe that the internets free flow of information will enable "honest" companies to overtake the current leaders.
Google's business model of "do no evil" can be applied to all market sectors.
To me it seems obvious. Find a market that seems interesting to you. Is there a market leader that is "honest"? No? Opportunity.
If there is, have they peaked? If not, see if you can join them. If they have peaked, look at a different market that intersts you, and repeat. There's opportunities out there.
If you live in a area that has a station that plays "new music" by people you have never heard of - that's your Independent Radio Station. Cherish it. The sound and feel may not be "you", but give it a whirl for a few days anyway. You may be surprised how much you like original sounds. You may also discover the existence of local live music.
Hint: They often have artists in the studio and are frequently plugging real live shows - not just commercials for the ABSOLUTE FINAL TOUR of MEGA ARENA ROCK REUNION FEST XXIII!!!!
I agree with the original post. I do not know if corrective lenses actually make eyesight worse, but I do know that preventative(Like the first post said they make things seems farther. So when you're looking at close things, it's as if you're looking far, and your eye muscles don't get stiff in the close focus.) glasses are available from optometrists - if you find a good one. They are not just regular reading glasses. I think they have a very high "prism", around 2.5 if I remember right. I don't know what that means optically, but that may be the only difference between them and regular reading glasses. My optometrist told me that he prescribes them often to lawyers. (I just think that's because there aren't alot of computer jobs in my home town.) If I don't use the glasses eye become temporarily near-sighted after a session of close-viewing. I believe I would already be permanently near-sighted if I did not get the prescription preventative glasses 4 years ago.
I've been using the web-based IMO. It even signs into skype!

Hurt Locker was shunned? I don't get it.

I bet Apple would have seen this if all the beta testers did not have their phones in 3GS costumes.
I would hope that the user experience is improved with the additional AJAX. Balancing speed with functionality is an art.

No. It's not "Bad with people means good at math." Time with math robs you of people skills. Time away from people can be frittered.

You can only get one undergraduate degree. After that it's all graduate school. A double major is still one undergrad degree.

While we can't KNOW the media yet, I'd bet a bill it's a small harddrive.

The Rio nitrus already has cornice 1.5 gig harddrive:

And then there's toshiba and hitachi:

The current ipods use Toshiba HD. That successful relationship should prompt Apple to go with them again. But no money on that one...
