This is the kinda system I've been thinking of for a long-time. My entire cd collection is copied but i do feel kinda bad about the bands i've ripped off. Especially new, young bands like Alkaline Trio and New Found Glory. I think people should just copy all their CDs but if its sumthin they really like, just send £10 to the actual band, that way it doesnt all get eaten up by the big corporate record labels. I'm sure £10 will mean nothing to a 4 man band (£2.50 each lol) but if everyone that would've bought their CD does this, the band will be rich! Plus the money-grabbing Record Company will go out of business, so everyones happy:p
Althought this seems to be very USA orientated (understandably) I've noticed a few requests for Australian vendors but none for UK vendors. My favourite at the moment is Dabs but can anyone recommend any others?
On the subject of whether a computer is worth building yourself, I'll admit my geekiness and say i actually enjoy putting together a computer, so it doesnt matter how long it takes. Plus you'll know it inside out if you ever need to fix it.
It seems fair that the Game Of The Year doesn't have to have been released. But surely to know whether a game is really that good or not you have to have played it. I dont care how pretty Doom III is if it isnt fun to play. I remember seeing Daikatana screenshots and demos, it was one of the most hyped games ever, and then it sucked because it was rubbish to play.
I think they should only give the award to a game that was playable at E3
I've played pool for quite a few years and i think the most importants factor is experience of the game, and thinking ahead for the next few shots. I don't think this Gadget takes into account positioning, or which ball your going to play for next does it? It would be quite useful for someone new to pool, but i think in the long-term they would be better off without it and learn the normal way
Who else remembers this little adaptor that would let you play GB games through your SNES and display them on a tv? I liked it, but i dont think it ever really took off. The point is, people buy a GBA to play on the train, in the car, at school etc. Not many people use their GBA at home, where they probably have a PC/PS whatever. As a GBA owner i think the most important feature it needs is simply a backlight.
Oh i see, so its actually CdCovers.cc's fault that they dont support Opera. that makes sense. in that case i guess it'll be years before everyone starts using Opera. I guess its another MS tactic to block all competition. soon www.microsoft.com, www.hotmail.com etc will only be viewable in IE.
I've used Opera 6 for Windows for probably nearly a year now. It's really great but the only thing that annoys me is that i still have to use IE for certain things. www.cdcovers.cc for example just wont download through Opera. MSN chat rooms aswell just fail to work in Opera. if they fix these sorts of things, it cant be too long before it replaces IE as the most popular browser.
I think this is the main problem we have with CDs (and DVDs). i much prefered the floppy disks that u could just bung in ur pocket or woteva. Cds need to be put in a big Jewel Case or at least a plastic sleeve. But flexible and heart-shaped? wtf? this is a complete waste of time.
why are people always quick to point out grammar errors? is it just my 15yr old naivety, or isnt the point of the net that u dont have to have perfect spelling and grammar? as long as u kno wot he means, who cares?
Oh man, these things used to be really good. i remember ones about AI and the Human Brain. but this year its just irritated me, that guy is just annoying. and it feels like A-Level content dressed up for 8yr olds! it doesnt achieve anything
dude, Morpheus and KaZaA are like exactly the same programs. same networks and everything. they just have different colour icons, thats pretty much the only differences. both are affected equally
yes it is pretty stupid
dude, i dont think there's anything wrong wiv the net code. i, like many users, am still on a 56k and manage to play q3 wiv hardly any lag at all. i dont kno wot its like in RtCW or MOH, but it cant be worse?

From what i can gather there's something that needs to be cleared up: £100 or 100lb?
I use Opera, all i have to type is "g whatever i'm searching for". Thus i win.
Lol, thats what free CDs are for dude, you dont buy CDs just to microwave!
200megs dude. its pointless innit!
