    There is no legal problem.

The problem for them is that it is another area they want to get a slice of the action, even when there ISN'T any action.

    Again.

SHIT, I just said the word!

But anyway... Picture this in your head, a bunch of grade school kids fighting like little idiots (read: various corporations). He hit me first! Wahh! Mommy! This is what I think of when I hear things like this.

Let them go after Apple. I hope it becomes highly visible. They can probably get all the lawyers they need, because remember MS in part owns their asses.

  14. Re:flash is too big for 56k on Macromedia Pushes Flash For All Things Web · · Score: 1

There are still a large amount of people living where High Speed surfing isn't available. What good is a "cool site" when it takes 2 or 3 minutes to load to a browser?

Well said. It is sad all the developers who just assume that because they have broadband at home, everyone else does. And often they know this and don't care, and just assume that dial up users are not even worth marketing at. Biig mistake.

If a web site takes more than 15 seconds to load the content (read: text and minor graphics), I'm going elsewhere. Basic, good web site design ensures this. Flash isn't part of good web site design in my eyes.

  16. A Web Site With Too Much Flash Doesn't Get My Biz on Macromedia Pushes Flash For All Things Web · · Score: 1

I can't stand flash. I find it highly annoying. A little flash is okay. But when you take it to the level where you can't make any good use of it with a browser that either has no or sucks at flash... Then that pisses me off the most.

Hear that commercial web designers? Too much flash, I go to your competitor. And I know I'm not alone.

'get a real browser' etc comments ignored.

Yet another symptom of the corporatizing of America. If you have money, you win. Isn't this country "by the people, for the people"?

    No. Not anymore.

Trying to "protect" your companies interests by suing potential customers is a *real* good way to piss off most of the rest.

Not if they can make more money off the lawsuit then they can otherwise, especially if they know they're going to go out of business. Hey, this would be a great time, when they're ahead.

If after all these years of their dancing and releasing of memos/initiatives that sound good but are never acted on, you still think this is, or WILL be, a secure environment at work... Boy, you've been had. You almost deserve what you've got coming at you.
