Easy solution, have a glossary page on slashdot for each main subject that defines specialized terms and acronyms for newbies. Even something as simple as "3D" might not be obvious to a person with rough English language skills.
I agree though that if you need RAM defined for you then you probably won't get much out of the discussion.
Did they pit neurotic vs neurotic? I wonder if then it would turn into a coin flipping contest with their chaotic behavior just resulting in random outcomes.
I'd think that in a 3 person battle a neurotic AI would be at a great disadvantage because the style of "to hell with the consequenses, charge!" game play might win against 1 but not with a 3rd party. They'd jump in take advantage of the neurotic side when they had no reserves left and had spent themselves fighting the 2nd opponent.
So does this mean that all of the really good online players I run into are actually neurotic messes? I'm not disputing that, I just want to make sure.
BTW, I found that one of the best strategies in the old Civilization games was to build horsemen/charioteers as fast as possible and raid other civs before they had a chance to start even at the expense of your own city growth. Only oceans got in the way of a quick win this way.
I'd rank Domino's Oreo Dessert Pizza right up there on the food abomination scale with Kentucky Fried Chicken's "Famous Bowls". I have never had one but they look like bowls of slop and they must be extra special when they have cooled off and congealed.
Travelling only through the crust, surface waves are of a lower frequency than body waves, and are easily distinguished on a seismogram as a result. Though they arrive after body waves, it is surface waves that are almost enitrely responsible for the damage and destruction associated with earthquakes. This damage and the strength of the surface waves are reduced in deeper earthquakes.
It isn't just a genetic predisposition. There is a proven link between obesity and type 2. It may simply be a matter of body mass or fat cell signals or both. That said some people do have it in their families. My grandfather died of it, my mother has it (skinny, eats like a bird), and my brother has it (athletic). Fortunately I had a diabetes specialist as a primary physician who made sure I was tested and never saw signs of it so I think I dodged the genetic bullet.
My brother is athletic and in good shape, he just ignored the signs of it (inherited type 2) and ended up needing an emergency heart bypass in his 40s. He sure watches his blood sugar now.
Isn't type 2 diabetes basically dietary related (adult onset) and controled by monitoring blood sugar while type 1 is the permanent loss of pancreatic beta cells that produce insulin, which I guess is what your mom has? If so then this research wouldn't help people like your mom since they have no insulin in the first place.
5. Say nice things to your equipment. Complement it once in a while. "Who's a good stereo? You are! You're a good stereo!" Spend some quality time with it. Take it out once in a while to someplace nice. Give your speakers a hug.
That is only recommended for jazz or classical music. For rock you need to use a cyclical freeze-thaw process using liquid argon and the skull of a saint.
Well I just got a letter from Taco Bell demanding money for letting other's enjoy my meal without permission when I fart.

Remember, RockStar is a company of crazy rebels who buck the system. They are renegades! They take no bs from the man!
Unless of course someone makes fun of them then they go crying to the man.
Make that our severe diarrhea overlords.

They struck the river Styx.
You'll have to get the Rocky Mountains out of your way first though.
"Borehole", isn't that a slang word for a jerk who hogs a meeting?
And all straight lines are just REALLY long curves.

Finally, a medical cure for self discipline! Is there a pill I can take that'll give me a trust fund so I don't have to work too?

I wouldn't worry, he'd just have a Total Recall later.

"allowing far more information to be retrieved from the disc"
So THAT is where the've been hiding the deleted scenes!

I keep my stereo in a dewer flask filled with liquid helium.
I personally only buy cables made from Cu65. That Cu63 isotope is so pedestrian and isn't "danceable".
Excuse me, that is Intelligent Design Metrics thank you very much.
According to James Doohan (aka "Scotty") William Shatner is a real asteroid.
