Well if a company makes a baby crib that is defective and causes your baby to some how die, that company is liable. Many times companies have been held liable for their horrible products that cause monitary or physical damage.
The problem is that this is software. You have a group of people who try every thing under the sun to cause your software harm. So what is defective? Is a baby crib 'defective' or 'shotty' when you break a leg off and it falls down? If a hacker hacks into your system who is responsible? The hacker! The product WORKS like it should, the hacker is basically breaking off a leg or exploiting a design feature to do harm. That is not the fault of the company.

The american's with disibility act is a crock. No american is worth more than another. we are all equil under the law. Giving special laws and treatments to a select few violates the equil protection under the law ammendment in the constitution.

If there were an OS that was as good if not better than Windows then there would be a price war. In a price war, the winners are the consumers. So newOS could say "Hey we're only $75 compared to $150 for Windows" and then MS can say "We're cuttin our prices to $70!" and so on.
Competition = Good for the consumers.
I used to love that show until they got rid of Alex McCloud and got Paige Davis to host! ugh.. I miss Alex..she atleast was hot and her voice didn't sound like nails on a chalk board.
OK can you please show me where it says in the CONSITUTION that you have the right to life liberty and the pursuit of happiness? Guess what, it doesn't! Do you know where it says that? Decleration of Independance! We stated to the King that we had these rights and that we were telling them to fudge off!;)
Also the gov't doesn't GIVE these rights to you, they are inalienble rights. These are rights we have because we are human. The gov'ts job is to protect your rights. The gov't is supposed to let you do with your self as you wish as long as it hurts no one else.
