    Yeah, a cheap $100 brother laser is the way to go for home printers. Don't bother with color, just do that at work or at a photo shop.

    yeah, I have an old Dell 1600n which has been unsupported since Windows XP. It works fine in Linux and I just use a driver for an HP laserjet 4100 or something similar in Windows 10.

    Bonus, I can scan from my linux console.

    I'd love to see an official spotify rpm, but they only provide a deb, which some people have converted to a poorly performing rpm that doesn't work on my system. (OpenSuSE)

    Legislation can be held up forever by afew people. The point of this is it can be forced to the floor, where everyone must declare which side they are on. It's brilliant.

    Good credit aside...
    Owning a home is identical to renting from the bank for at least 5 years. The only difference is that you have assumed all liabilities. It's a poor bargain for many people.

    You do realize blanket wireless interception would affect more then prisoners. Guards, visitors, anyone passing near the prison.

    I'm in a suburb of a big city. The biggest tipping point is apartments often rent for about $100 to $200 down, while houses want 1 months rent or more.

    it's relatively easy to vet/find good tenants through your social network if you're not advertising in public and aren't in an extreme rush to rent the unit.

    In the markets I've looked at, this is never been the case. I could always rent apartments for less per month and much less down. Houses were always more, but the down payment requirement were almost enough to buy.

    Use Mobaxterm, it's got the full ssh server/ client stack with port forwarding and all sorts of other goodies.
