The university I goto has a deal with M$. I can get win2k cds for $5 bucks, yep $5. XP is $15. There's no excuse not to use windows at all! even though we are required to turn in code/projects that'll compile on msvc++, my home net + laptop is powered by slack and some other unix flavors. I always manage to go to school to port that code to msvc++(ugly).
I'm just curious. Would you fight Mac the same way you do with M$ if Mac were to use illegal means once it gets to the top? Now,I let you all think about this question...
I've thought about bying a mac not too long ago wanting to give OS X a shot. From what I've _seen_ and _heard_ it's worth a try. But then why would I buy it for? The only reason I'm using a computer is to learn how software interacts with hardware(engr.) That's something I'll never be able to do on a mac(prop. hw&sw).
PCs and linux remain the only choice I have.
What I usually do as soon as I wake up in the morning is check the ip traffic on major US backbones such as exodus. you can find plenty of open route servers in this page www.traceroute.org. And I can say that the load was unusally high this morning(sh ip ?).
What's the name of that keyboard that had 450mb hard drive some 486 proc(I think) and network jack? It's one computer in a keyboard. I remember seeing it on ebay.
Data travels as beams of light in optical fiber, which makes it hard to intercept. Did they consider intercepting signals as soon as they're converted into electrical signals under the sea? Signals as any others has to be amplified so they can reach their destination without losing their amplitude and so they have to go from optical to electrical and then back to optical.

That's why college is so important. That's what happens when you think that a couple of programming classes will get you to the top. Get an education.
