Does anyone else think that this might be linked to reports that most of Vista and the correlated application suite was coded in native languages as opposed to using the.NET framework?
Personally, I thought it was pretty hypocritical of Microsoft to continue pushing their framework on Windows developers while, at the same time, releasing new software compiled from C and the like. And before you tell me that kernels are supposed to be extremely fast and, therefore, not suited to.NET, I'm referring to more suitable applications like Windows Explorer, Internet Explorer, Outlook, etc.
I mean, why else would "60%" of the Vista code have to be rewritten? Either it's a framework port or several teams within Microsoft seriously dropped the ball when Vista's architecture was being designed.
Intel launches new Pentium Super-Hyper-Mega-Extreme edition.
Is it really difficult to think up new product names that don't remind me of Mountain Dew?
I haven't read anybody mention something about the man getting out of his car in the after photo. If you look at the tree in front of the second all-white building on the left, directly underneath it, you can make out a car. If you look at the before, occurence, and after photos, you can see the man getting out of his car. As to what this means, I'll leave that up to you.
Don't be so quick to flame a game that you haven't even tried yet. I shared similar conceptions about ATITD before I started playing. I looked at the screenshots and the remarks on the game's lack of combat and couldn't believe that this game could be so popular.
However, my friend got me playing about 2 weeks ago and I'm never looking back. This is one of the best gaming experiences I've ever had. And while it is mostly due to the gameplay, I think that what makes this game is the people who inhabit eGenesis's Egypt. This game has a high learning curve, but I have yet to come across someone who couldn't or just wouldn't answer a question I had. Whenever I was down on resources, there were always people to lend a hand. And I think it's for that reason that this game is what it is. The people.
If you decide you'd like to try out this game for yourself, go to http://www.atitd.com and download the trial version. Feel free to type "/chat Gilratet" once in-game if you have any questions or just need a helping hand.
I'm American too dumbass. I grew up ON the base. So don't go preaching to me about how vulnerable America is to outside influences. America has more than signal interception in it's armory.
... I can say first-hand that the US government isn't making sig-int out as a large conspiracy. As my parents were stationed at Menwith Hill, I remember seeing English protestors outside the front gate moved away by armed guards from time to time. Granted, this was not an every-day occurence. But, every now and then, you'd see the occasional group of loons camped out in a nearby field calling for "American spies to leave England." Now, keep in mind, these signal-interceptors that NSA utilized for project Echelon weren't in some bunker buried in tall groves of trees surrounded by miles of razor wire. They were giant "golf ball" radar towers that were visible for miles around. This makes you wonder what else the US government has up it's sleeves if it keeps its' sigint relays out in plain view, eh?
Now correct me if I'm wrong but... didn't Lee play in today's game where WV was thrashed? Now that must be one hell of a leg brace to allow him to play in a game this soon after surgery. WTF?? Do they have a Beowulf cluster of high-end PCs running nonstop regenerative tissue algorithms and mapping nerve ends? I tell you what they need to do- bring back the Power Glove for the NES ('member those??) for people who lost hands in thresher mishaps. Impress your friends and family as you pen the great American novel while at the same time fighting the nefarious forces of the Red Falcon!

Alex Trebek: And in last place with negative 120,000 (sighs and pauses) Sean Connery.
Sean Connery: Well, well, well Trebek. Fancy seeing you here. It's been a while.
Alex Trebek: Not long enough.
Sean Connery: That's not what your mother said last night.
Alex Trebek: Okay Here are the categories for double jeopardy. (Board appears)
They are: POTENT POTABLES, COLORS THAT ARE RED, JAPAN US RELATIONS; I have no idea what that category is doing up there.
Sean Connery: I had relations this morning Trebek, hope we didn't wake you. Your mother's a screamer.
Alex Trebek: For your information my mother's in a nursing home in Alberta, Canada.
Sean Connery: Oh she was nursing it alright.
