From what i understood when he went to pixar they took ownership of his 'brain' and he was told to stop working on it and to pull all copies he had shared ( of course there were binaries out in the wild that you could still use, but who wanted to do that after Larry was no longer developing it? )
I agree that the NSA has over stepped its bounds in several cases, but even if criminal, i dont consider them traitors. Misguided, out of control, etc, but *not* traitors.
But the topic was about Snowden, not the NSA, who i do consider a traitor and should be treated as one. He may not think he is, but the crimes he committed, and admitted to, were the classic definition of being one.
1 He exposed no traitors. He 'exposed' people working to insure our safety. 2 If he did, and they claimed innocence, then they get trial. If they claim guilt, then no trial.
Idiot he admired his guilt in public. There is no need for a trial.
If he claimed he was innocent, sure, give him a trial. Then if hes proven innocent by a reasonable doubt then let him go. If not, execute him ( that's what we do with traitors ). But he made no such claim, so the only thing left is sentencing.
Damned idiots around here, its no wonder i rarely bother to come here anymore. Between lame stories, and total morons pretending they are functional trying to comment....
Should round you all up and send you away. Far far away. Or Soylent Green.. mmm Soylent Green..
I clearly said nothing wrong with Android by its self, just that i dont feel its appropriate for this device.
I also clearly said i wasn't sure if ChromeOS was the answer or not. And from what i gather its becoming less and less reliant on a constant connection, so your argument may be a moot point now anyway.
I tend to agree, we will never really know why . Even if someone comes up and clearly says 'hey i was with the team and we did it due to xyz', since the team was anonymous how can you be sure hes with the team, and even he was, if hes telling the truth?
No matter what the reason, or even if there is a legit reason the game is over and it really doesn't matter why, other than curiosity. The code ( or group ) can no longer be trusted, and who knows how far back this breach goes.
Time to move on to something else and not look back. And do it *today*..
Are you really that dense where you cant conceptually separate the operators of a PUBLIC site to the USERS that post items? Regardless of any feelings about the ludicrousness of IP in the first place, the USERS are the violators, not the site operators, ( or anyone else that happens to be in the chain, like the ISPs, routers and computer manufacturers, the OS providers, the writers of the torrent client.. ).
The only exception to this rule that i would entertain would be 'private' sites which require you to share 'warez' to even have an account.. TPB does not require this.
We are done here, i'm tired of talking to a box of bricks for brains. People like you waste the earth's resources for the rest of us.
Free speech only applies to speech created by yourself. It's not an excuse to obtain other people's works without payment.
Without getting into the moral angle of right and wrong of IP and how stupid your 'in the laws' suggestion is, TPB operators were not doing this anyway, their USERS were. ( well, i guess they most likely were doing it behind the sends to be realistic, but that isn't the reason for the charges so its not relevant in the discussion )
And since you are most likely a idiot, ill repeat myself, yet again: TPB operators are not responsible for their user's content.
I can read just fine. You however, not so much. Or perhaps you can technically read, but have no comprehension ability due to all the big words we adults are using.
I'm not sure which one it is, but either way, you dont belong out in the world with us 'big kids', and i think i hear your mother calling you.
You care if it turns out your functional manager is basing decisions (even on a subconscious level) on one of those protected groups
Um, of course I care about hiring based on protected groups, but didn't i just state that we should be hiring on qualification and who cares what race/etc they are, if they are more qualified for the job?
I don't care what you are, if you can provide me with a better productivity/cost ratio than the next person, you get the job.
I could care less about those trumped up rules designed to take away our freedoms.
The *only* computer i want in my car is my phone, so i can listen to music if i feel like it.
And yes, i realize that means no fuel injection, or other modern garbage, that has no business in *my* car.

For those old timers...
Was a great thing in its day, then got yanked from underneath us.. I don't want a repeat performance..
And proper regulation would force them. ( as much as i hate it, they deserve it )
I think he is both.
Who said my organization didn't already audit it? And there is more going on here than a simple project abandonment.
I ( and many others ) have to disagree, its not useful any longer, and a security risk.
Even if they 'approve' the code, who will trust it? I know i wont. The ship has sailed, use that money for something useful.

Simple enough for you?

Execution is not murder, idiot.
Snowden doesn't deserve a trial. He already admitted to what hes done, so why waste more tax dollars on an actual trial? Just execute the traitor.
How about i define dimwit instead: "Tepples"

Reading comprehension issues i see.

And how many of those ( that the average person actually uses ) benefit from having a permanently attached keyboard?

Nothing wrong with android on a phone or tablet, but a laptop? I cant see it being of much value tacking on a permanent keyboard.
People will want more functionality with a laptop than this will give. is chrome OS the right choice? I donno, but Android sure isn't.

Except he clearly stated by court order, and not just a in-house block from due diligence or from a 3rd party provider with a 'black list'..
Perhaps he's clueless, and another reason why they should not be 'privatizing'
Even in the case of scope creep, or poor project goals the vendor still is partly at fault for not driving the project.
