    "Public School" is where it breaks down. Since the school is funded by taxes they do have a right to express their differing options.

    If you want to separate it out as a different class, sure, that works. But they still should be permitted to present it. ( at least until it no longer qualifies as 3rd or 4th common theory, and is reduced to a few kook fanatics )

    Who knows, the more people that see it, the more people that will see that its really pretty silly :)

    My comment wasn't about Obama or any other black political figure specifically, it was about the entire system and its participants.

    But I guess you didn't catch that part. Might want to remove your blinders for a moment and look at the big picture.

    And to clarify myself: Yes, if you admire ANY politician, regardless of their color, party or orientation, preference, whatever, you have issues.

    Yes, why not? I see no reason it cant be presented as 'yet another alternative'. Of course there are practical limits and everyone cant have their 5 minutes, but presenting the top 3 or 4 concepts out there isn't a bad thing in the least.

    Once science is afraid of exploring/debating other options, its no longer science but a religion.

    If they are just making a requirement to give equal time to the major alternatives, thats ok.. If they are trying to push it so you only get one view point, then no, its not ok.

    Disclaimer: Personally i think ID is just plain silly, but they should have just as much right to express their loony opinion as anyone else in a tax supported education system.

    And i hope you are the first customer that gets to pay the extra amount.

    There will also be bonding involved too, now that they will be liable. So tack on a few more bucks to your bill.

    Oh, and since the IT guy charges more, his customers will have to charge a little more to recoup. So that hair cut goes up. ( among other small business services )

    And don't forget the IT guys that cant get bonded due to a shady past but are technically competent who will turn to crime to feed their families.

    Still feel good about having the government interfere?

    I'm going to be limiting my choice to the Libertarian or Green candidates for President this fall.

    And that won't do a bit of good in a two-party system, unfortunately, and in fact it may just get McCain elected. I don't like the way it is, but it is what it is.

    Perhaps its time to change 'the way it is'. We did it once before.

    Last time i read the GPL ( i admit its been a while, version 1 i think.. ) you don't even have to include the source. You only have to make it available "at cost" for people that request it.

    Yes, i know a lot of fairly competent people that have been effected by the marketing strategy of the BSA and RIAA.They now think that anything free is somehow illegal or filled with viruses. For many the entire concept of giving away ones work is completely foreign to them.

    Its also nice to have a nice shiny permanent CD ROM instead of a less then permanent CDR.

    This also helps people that would not have a clue how to download and burn something.

    Does any support come with this?

    Its called a crime of passion, and while it wouldn't make him innocent, it would reduce the charges significantly.

    Im not ashamed in the least to say i rip my original CD's so i can use copies in the car and not risk theft of or damage to the real ones. ( tho these days its now to a MP3 device, but same concept ) and dare any *aa stooge to sue me for it.

    Also, I often copy pages out of my own books and magazines to use in the shop, where they get dirty and tattered ( or simply cut to shreds.. ). Also put them on my laptop, more convenient at times to cary around tons of books on a single dvd... ( not always, as i do prefer my paper books.. but still, it does happen )

    Even been known to download lesser quality copies of what i own, to save me the trouble of ripping/scanning.. Again, i dare them as i can wave the book ( or cd or record ) in their face at court.

    And people wonder why it's so easy for the RIAA to erode fair use...it's simple, when most people don't even understand what fair use is, it's easy to slowly take it away.

    And just think, they are trying to re-train our children with their propaganda.

    Not trying to be a smart-ass here, but can you name another reason for a country to actively obtain and store uranium ( in any form ) other then to use it for either power generation or weapons?

    Its not like it was just laying around, like the rusty lawn ornament example you give in comparison. ( nor is anyone collecting the rust...)

    Its not the 'smoking gun' that would finally exonerate Mr Bush, but it sure does point in the right direction. ( even tho we went to iraq for several reasons all supported by international treaty violations, its the WMD line item that irrational people seem to desperately latch onto as the ' i told ya so' )
