    If you are on a captive wan, just use protected shares with encrypted traffic. In theory, the *AA would have violated something if they take a peek inside.. ( cybercrime breaking and entering sort of thing )

    The problem is that you still have to get the original file into the 'protected net'. thats where they can nab you.

    Here, we have 3 *real* electronics stores in town. Isles of bins, full of parts.

    They even stock tubes and know what you are talking about if you say "yagi" or "mosfet"

    Now that said, dont go to them looking for the latest in 'consumer electronic devices..' thats not an electronic parts store market.. (but if you want a good used Tek scope, they got them :) )

    How about as a regular keyboard? I still have one i use daily.. and 2 spares in the closet.

    The new mushy garbage you get now is awful.

    And no i dont need a 'windows' key, so being 'up to date' means nothing to me.

    Actually i was meaning "office" when i used the term MSO.

    I think that is the *biggest* roadblock. With exchange being a close 2nd since its so tied into MSO.

    And yes, i agree other Microsoft specific factors are there too, like Sharepoint are on the 'short list'.

    Could it happen someday? Sure, but i dont see Microsoft going down without a decades long fight.

    Microsoft pulling MSO ( and native exchange ) support for Apple.

    Pretend as much as you want that there are 'alternatives and i dont need it', but MSO *is* the de-facto standard out there. Without it, Apple will continue to be a niche player in the business world for a long time to come ( if not forever, unless things radically change someday ).

    But is being a ( rather large ) niche player really all that bad? They still make great products and make gobs of money. Do they *need* to attack Microsoft's stranglehold on the corporate market?

    You dont have the right to delete files due to a person mistyping some numbers. You do have the right to disable your software, nothing more.
