Aside from the fact we should not have to look up some esoteric item to see what the hell we are talking about, and if we care...
For those in the know: is this something like thinapp or cameyo for Linux that is truly virtual, or is it more of a portable jail? Not that i cant read, but i see the words 'virtual' misused so often it shard to tell without digging too deep. If it is truly virtualized that is cool, if its yet anther jail/chroot management tool, *yawn*
This is really a cool thing to have as an option. 100G isn't that much today when a TB might cost you 30 bucks.. ( rather surprised its that small... ) and with how 'vunerable' everything is on the net today it wouldn't hurt to have an archive before the next take down notice or commercial buy-out. ( or shut-down due to loss of funding )
Not being able to replace a drive or a battery without ungluing the damned thing is criminal. Both are *consumables*. Its really no different than if HP sealed in the toner cart and you have to buy a new printer when it ran out...
I was referring to the slam at being a federal contractor paying far more than the national average, instead of the 'learn from a book and get a nice job tomorrow' mentality.
The one they use until he drops it, then they start calling his cell phone..
While everyone gets an occasional scam call, getting them *all day long* sounds really odd and i think there is more going on here that we ( or the OP ) don't know about.
So you plan on never going to the doctor. Never getting a job. No girlfriend. Never walking down a city street. Never owning a car. Never renting or owning a place to live. Oh, and groceries...
About all you could do is head to the woods and live off the land, but not yours. ( Of course then you have the satellites to worry about.. ).
"Damage done to society" by downloading a movie? Now that's funny stuff there. Do you have an encore presentation or are we pushing your limits of understanding already?
Which will be ineffective ( at least for getting to content, not staying semi-anonymous ) once every ISP blocks it, as your exit nodes will be no better off then your 'home' ISP.
Just because you can doesn't mean you should.
Gotta love the world we are creating.

I shouldn't have to go look it up.
Yes. Plenty of ways to do that. Google is your friend.
You can even buy a handheld piece of hardware ( that runs forth! ) if you like. http://www.thewikireader.com/

Ya, in 2008, which makes it totally worthless.

Millions have worked on assembly lines ( and similar jobs ) for generations and they did just fine.
Sounds like more of the 'me me me' crap. Fire their ass.
This will only serve to produce a psychopath AI.. Just what we need.
someone, somewhere, is paying for those calls
Flat rate VoIP. its more cost effective for them to bug you.
But you can work from home, for $2 an hour.
I suppose, but it would barely pay your ( reduced ) overhead, let alone make a living.

Its a job, that actually is paying quite well, during a poor economy. Don't knock it.
I call that an answering machine. :) If you don't talk to it, and i don't know who you are, i wont even bother getting off the couch.

But pizza delivery will get them every time.
One is an ordinary, boring life that you don't mind the NSA finding out about.
Perhaps, but they still collect the data, and store it away for later.

Good luck with that plan.
In this case i was talking purely TOR and blocking bu ISPs, since that was the subject.
The 'private darknet' you speak of already exists in the form of FreeNet and I2p. No need to create something new. We just need more people there...
However, bandwidth caps can kill that too...

BITTORRENT USERS - JUST BUY THE DAMN MOVIES ALREADY.
You really don't see the bigger picture. Drop dead. Soon.

The next step in that is mandatory reporting of any IP addresses that does those forbidden searches.
Most likely this is already happening.
Problem solved.
