  3. XM user on Satellite Radio - XM vs. Sirius? · · Score: 2, Informative

I personally love my XM radio. Lots of different channels w/ lots of music choices. There are about 100 channels with 30 being commercial free. Channels are setup into neighborhoods occording to genre / music type. It's $10 a month for the service and I am very happy with it. I am currently using the Sony fm modulator model and get excellent sound quality. I have only lost signal twice. Once 2 levels down in a parking garage and once while I was in Harpers Ferry WV I was driving past a mountain and had no view of the southern sky. An excellent product and well worth it!!!!!

  4. Cost on Copy-Protected Digital VHS · · Score: 1

HMMM $1995.00???? Do you actually expect someone to pay 2500 for a HDTV, 700 for a tuner and then 2000 for a VCR??? ok so it can play digital movies...but come on!!!! might as well buy a movie theater

  5. info on Verizon High Speed Wireless · · Score: 2, Informative

1X is the term that Verizon Wireless has been calling this service for the last few months (hmmm no g's????) February 1st is when it will be rolled out to the Washington Metro Area, with first sales being PCMCIA cards. This service is being promoted locally as having a 70kbps average connection. It should definitely help all the truely mobile users getting CDMA speeds of 14.4 to 19.2 kbps!!!

  6. Re:Adelphia on Comcast Gunning for NAT Users · · Score: 1

True, however I think that this primarily applies to the use of a hub with multiple visible MAC addresses on the cable modem. When they only see the MAC of your router, they dont seem to care. Add an additional machine outside the firewall and then you have to give them MAC addresses. That may be what they are referring to as far as additional machines, since each of these machines get an additional IP on their network.

  7. Adelphia on Comcast Gunning for NAT Users · · Score: 4, Informative

Adelphia has it as part of their service agreement that you can have multiple devices on the network and the cable modem install techs will actually configure your linksys router for you when you sign up for the service.

  18. Re:My solution to telemarketers on TeleZapper - A Way to Avoid Telemarketers? · · Score: 1

this solution has also worked for me. Why be woken up on a saturday morning by someone wanting to offer you a new Credit Card. I go one step further and give out a dummy number when someone doesnt really need to know what my number is. If my cell phone rings, I know it is important. I am sure that some unfortunate person somewhere is getting some of my telemarket calls, but at least it is not interrupting my Digimon cartoons!!!
