  1. Re:What about OGGs? on Sony-Ericsson P900 Released · · Score: 1

    How about this one:
    http://www.geocities.com/p800tools/

I've been using it for my P800 for months, it works brilliantly. Although I have not, for obvious reasons, tried it on the P900, I assume that it will work, since they have the same basic operating system (UIQ on Symbian 7).

You know, it comes with stereo headphones that also functions as handsfree. And if it works similar to the P800 you can listen to music on it for hours without draining the battery. Bottom line, it replaces your mp3 player as well as your PDA.

Somehow I doubt that W3k is a good abbreviation for Windows 2003. You know, it is Windows 2003, not Windows 3000...
You'll have to wait a couple of years for W3k.

Kind of. Actually the church was finally separated from the state a couple of years ago. We've had an official state church since the 16th century. But even though Sweden is, or was, officially a lutheran country, religion is not a big thing here, and hasn't been for 50 years or so. I know very few people who would actually consider themselves religios. Most people are atheists or at least agnostics. Except for those who live in Linkoping. I suppose Linkoping is Sweden's answer to Utah. Or maybe its the other way around, after all Linkoping was founded 800 years before Utah...

I have a feeling I've said anything interesting I had to say and that I'm just taking up cyberspace right now, so I'll just shut up.

That's probably right. In this case, as in many others, religion is to blame. Thank God (hmmm...) I live in a secularized country (Sweden) where religion doesn't have that much power anymore.

There is a reason we have 'R' ratings for movies - there are some children who are simply not emotionally developed enough to handle things like Braveheart or Reservoir Dogs - and that's just for violence, not sex. Just for violence? Now there's an interesting point. Why should sex, that is generally a good thing, be worse for children than violence, that is almost always a bad thing? What kind of signals does this send out? Feel free to beat you pals to death, but for God's sake, dont have sex. Ever.

And why would "the average peon" have any interest in removing IE or WMP from his/her computer? If you don't like them (I hate windows media player), just don't use them. No one is forcing you! And hard disk space is cheap anyway, so it really doesn't bother me that WMP uses 20 MB or so of my hard drive. Stop whining!

Actually, I believe that patents were originaly invented so that you would not have to keep your invention a secret. They are supposed to make new technologies known to a wider audience, and to make it possible for other persons/companies to use these technologies (for a reasonable fee, of course).

Unfortunately, that's not really how it turned out...

An interesting figure for comparison is that Japan has the same amount of IP4-addresses as SUNET (Swedish University Network, www.sunet.se). That's right. Japan have their own /16-network. That would make more than 0.0005 IP:s for each inhabitant!

Assume that you are going to draw a map, and dont really know what the world looks like. It kind of makes sense to put the parts that you do know about in the middle, doesnt it? Im fairly sure thats what the Egyptians or Romans or whoever draw the first maps did. Hence, Europe/Africa in the middle. Besides, it also makes sense to cut the map in the largest body of water. That's also why the international date line is in the Pacific and not in the Baltic Sea.
