I was speaking of the latter... selling actual items for people, like one of those places where you drop off your items, and they sell it
does your linux box do it all by it's self, or do you have spends weeks setting up auctions no... although I have written Java code to run Lego Mindstorms... I have not written anything that actually does it all for me:-)... and from my personal experience, it doesn't take much time to set up a good auction site, especially if you have a template in place already.
A 2nd Job is Easy... you just have to sell stuff for other people on eBay. I'm not kidding, it's the easiest thing in the world to do... you can make good money doing... and you can do it from the comfort of your own home using your linux box to do it.
Somewhat recently... but it depends on the school district. My wife was going to apply for a teaching job in one of the nearby school districts, but when she found out they used Everyday Mathematics in their district, she decided against applying for the job.

Asked to speculate on why other big phone companies have been reluctant to embrace open standards, Reynolds demurs, but suggests that openness makes BT's strategy less risky, not more. "You get more people's intellectual capital," he says.
There is a parallel here to the IT world... and I'll give you a hint: Microsoft would make a great big phone company.
Yeah... it reminds me of the new math they're teaching in elementary schools. My wife is a teacher... and we both agree that it's as gay as hell. Instead of teaching kids long-hand division and how to actually do their math... they teach the kids how to guess & check on division... So for example...
Wouldn't the obvious solution be to write a User-Friendly UI (front-end) that computer-illiterate scientists could utilize... and then the front-end is designed to spit out XML?
The burglary from the employee's home in Aspen Hill, Maryland, involved a laptop computer with an external disk drive, officials have said.
2 things... 1.) Wouldn't stuff this sensitive be encrypted if it's sitting on an external disk drive? 2.) Is there some sort of conspiracy going on? With the terrorist arrests in California and Canada? Perhaps somebody is planning something big... and it starts by gathering all the personally identifiable information they can get on us citizens? (first the vets data was stolen, now this)... Maybe the US terrorist threat level should be raised to red!
Users will then be able to play the downloaded.mpq file in full-fidelity sound quality for a pre-defined number of times
This is the frickin most annoying part of this crap. "for a pre-defined number of times"... grrr... I buy a CD so I can listen to the songs as many times as humanly possible... with no additional cost! At work... if I just got a new CD... I could listen to it like 4 or 5 times in one day... maybe more... so it would be really really really annoying if I played it twice... then had to re-pay... then played it twice... then had to re-pay. That is just ridiculous!
"Cleopatra reminds me of Angelina Jolie," Patti says. "I keep telling Brian that I would much rather have an avatar who brings Brad Pitt to mind. But he keeps telling me that is technically impossible."
Are you telling me that we have 100's of video games that allow you to create custom players & customize their looks... and a thousand dollar gadget like this is only going to have one look? I mean, Angelina is a good choice... but I'd also like to see Jenna, Pam, Carmen, Tyra, etc.
HD radio is coming soon. The first real receivers are out, and more are coming. Expect a steady stream of content gimmicks in the near future, as broadcasters try to jump-start consumer acceptance and spur the sale of HD radios. They've learned their lesson from the satellite guys, and are ready to start fighting back.
There is no way possible that Satellite radio can be beaten by HD radios... no way... too late into the game.
OO can open XLS... so can Gnumeric... but I can say from personal experience that if you get large & complicated spreadsheets in Excel, OO will open them, but MS must do some crazy sh!t cause looking at it from OO and Excel look like 2 quite different spreadsheets. All I was saying was that now... you create in OO... view in Google... create in Excel... view in Google... both being viewed in the same format... so it doesn't matter whether a business ONLY uses OO or ONLY uses Excel... because they can communicate now and be guaranteed that they're viewing in the same format.
Dell, the world's biggest PC maker, has said it is committed to Blu-ray - Wrong Choice Hewlett-Packard, the number two player, has said it will support both standards. - Right Choice
This definition considers inappropriate any game which "lacks serious literary, scientific, medical, artistic or political value"
So does this include Frozen Bubble?

What if another user walks into this area while the the user is going at it? Do they go blind?

You know that if you were running Google, you wouldn't have turned your back to China. Google did no evil here.
