the thing is with having to agree to all these laws, agreements most people never actually "agree" to any of them. Come on last time you bought anything with a guarantee you proabely entered into an agreement with somone.
The problem with this is it actually breaks down the weight these laws and contracts have, because you end up breaking them fifty times a day it stops mattering to you.
I have kazza light to, just i used duct tape over the right bits of the screen, and i intstalled it on a P166 machine with a 300MB hard disc, hah try and steal my spare CPU time!
what amazes me is that people serisouly not to get ripped off, abused, taken advantage off and generally treated like crap by companys whos only reall point of exsitance is to make money...
I'm wondering if anyone DOES know the legal implications of those service agreements
the real question is wheather anyone who clicks on them is actually prepared to honour any agreements, i mean most of these companys are providing a sevice that is at best in the "grey" rea of the law, i dont think a lot of users read the acgreements simply because they *will* igonre them.
I have spent the last 4 years in college (thats not Univercity in the UK) doing various diffrent courseses, have i learnt anything usefull? er not really, well not during classes anyway, all my real knoledge has come from breeaking, fixing, tinkering with computers, the thing that i have learnt from college are all social skills, its been a time to find out about my self, and make some really good freinds, and thats what education systems have been about for me, not the gaining of knoledge but learing live with other people.
t's got a lot to do with society not liking the side effects when people take it to far and it effects other soceity, then laws get passed and you can't have one law for one person and one for another, still if you don't bother people you dont usually get bothered
Are their any pre-built clinet all ready out thier? Please don't tell me to wirte my own, cos i have an amazing ability to:
1- fail to get the fundimental concepts (of anything)
2- write hooj crappy code that just loops and burns
3- I have been diagnosed as having an attention span of a small nat.
oh and i would use google to look for some but my companys web access is going a bit screwy at the moment and google has dissapered...
Well I like the guy, he seems to choose the oposite opinion just to piss people off, so i'm gonna side with him to piss him off, that should fool him! (and me)
that is the best way in my (addmitley failry short life) of describing the downfalls of communism, I have been trying for ages to think of a way of succsiently describing it. thank you! (apologies for appaling spelling I'm a lazy dsylexic)
JonKatz, well he makes people take a little time to think about a subject, or perhaps his right to "Free Speach2 should be revoked, cos some people don't want to listen, if somebody bugs you that much, ignore them, my mum gave me that advise, it stops me from beating people to death with their own shoes in college. *grin*
That makes a lot of sense, with the inevitablity of globalisation, it would make more sense to concentrate efforts on trying to get globalisation right, than trying to hold back the sands of time. Besides if the goverments don't start expanding, who is going to be able to police the multinationals?
I think the fast and the furious DVD had multiple camera angles for the last actin scene. (the one where the supra races the american muscle car) Havent seen it my self though.
softhome.net still alive? that was my first e-mail address when i had my very first modem! it was cool cos i could have burt@sof... etc and i could get pop3 access, mind you it did tend to be very very slow across the atlantic, now i just use webmail/pop account attached to my mobile phone company (cool cos i get text alerts for e-mails) , with a hotmail address for my "we promise not to pass your e-mail on to other companys" of course,...
but has anyone noticed the bandwidth hit you get from running Gnuttela clients, leave it running for a few hours and i find that it's tacking up 1.5k a sec, dosen't sound bad but my sister is usually running it at the same times thats another 1.5k, I'm only on a 65K isdn line, thats quite a lot of my bandwidth...
In the UK you can send 30 free sms a month from orange.net if you have an orange account, my mum and my sister have both payed a flat fee of £15 to get 5 free texts a day on orange pay as you go (plus 2 30 sec emergency calls when your credit runs out) ONly real prob i have with orange is thier appaling selection of phones... mind you they are taking GPRS (2.5G) seriously after taking part in a trial and having most users telling them it was crap they posptponed the GPRS roll-out. plus i got a free phone;)
Orange already do an e-mail alert service.. if you use their e-mail address, used to be 12p a message sent to You, but now it's free, they don't send you the e-mail, but you can check your phone e-mail over their wap service, or if you have an pop3 compatible phone sony j5/j7/z5 you can dial up and get your mail.. not that it's worth it to check your spam:( But you can allways find your nearest web broweser and check it that way.
could i use them to power a micro sized refrigeration unit to keep my can of red bull/coke/beer/dogs piss cold?

Stealing CPU cycles and munching up hard disks, hmm sounds like my Copy of Office, maybe i should go read that licence again. *grin*

I'm worried that they might try and fix it though, just imagine clicking through... line by line... *shudder*
