  1. Re:Which university? on University Migrating Students to Windows Live Mail? · · Score: 3, Informative

He is talking about the University of Idaho most likely. They are currently migrating students to live, and this same discussion just came up in our LUG discussion group just the other day. Students who oppose the change have been quick to blame the university ITS department, when really this is a product of their student government (ASUI) and the state's yearly budget cuts to the University.

He was talking about playing battle mode over the internet. Mario Kart DS only offers the regular Grand Prix racing over the net. I seriously doubt there will be any update. Maybe in the sequel.

Plug Myth TV box into low speed data port on satellite box if present, otherwise get an external IR signal generator. As for recording two at once, get multiple tuners... Granted this is all very tweaky to setup compared to a TiVo box, but it can work.

I second IPCop. I use it for a group of about 50 users, and I've got an uptime of almost a year. The things I like about IPCop: - It works. Well. - Free! - Lean. It doesn't have a whole lot of nonsense that you don't need. - Comes with a nice web interface. - Handles aliasing fine. That way you can have more than one IP address per physical interface. - Has a healthy support community. - Runs on a lot of hardware. I've actually got two ipcop boxes, identically configured. That way if one ever dies, I just turn the other one on and in two minutes I'm up and running again. Of course, this would add yet another single point of failure for your servers, but there's only so much you can do with $100...

I was going to post a similar question, but then I thought about it for a while. This is pretty nerdy. Quite simple, but making custom cookie cutters representing a video game logo is definitely nerd material. True, it isn't front-page stuff, but it is interesting anyway. I'm just disappointed they didn't post the recipe...
