    and i must second this, G400Max is a wonderful card, and its fluid at 1024 with old drivers under 3.3.x!
    (so imagine when DRI will come, and dualhead too ;-)

    Or what is the kernel modification to the GPL that allows this kind of weird things?

    Are they going to phase out all their 68k stuff? All older palm will get obsolete quite fast now, un less they do like apple and include emulation in the OS, but i doubt it.

    Have you tried it under linux? i know all of the DC2xx cameras are supported on the USB side, but gPhoto doesnt support the 290 yet (but does support the 280 though:), i heard there is a python script for the moment, what, if you tried it, do you think it is worth?

    As a student, i dont have too much money to spare on a phone considering that the palm is already quite expensive.
    Which cell phone would you recommend for this kind of usage? I know IR solution exists with internal modems but they are VERY expensive, and i dont think i ll be able to use that in a moving BUS (Packet lost, too much IR deviation!:-)
    Am i forced to buy (or build heh) a palm modem and than a cable to connect to the cell?

    This isnt really clear, they talk about using linux fdisk's to remove partitions (haha they cant even provide tool to manipulate partitions:) and then tell us to type fdisk /mbr...i dont have any mbr device in my root directory! ;-)

    (i dont know anything about quantum computers or encryption but...)

    If you have enought "particles" you can crack any kind of encryption? Then, how can a quantum cryptography system be more secure? just curious, i m a lost here.. :-)

    At that speed it should take more than a year to crack 554 bits keys, so 1024 bits keys should still be safe!

    (why isnt everyone using 1 meg keys anyway? :-))

    Yeah i know, its just that if i remember correctly, their special application to register forced you to install their IE to continue or something like that (it was last christmas, i dont remember exactly :)

    While i was in France, i had a laptop with me
    (and was forced to use windows to connect! damn winmodems..)
    and bought their kit in one of their shop
    (cost me like 30$ US for 15h? damn expensive!)...
    After trying to setup the damn account with their cdrom, i came to the conclusion that you had to 1st use windows (which i was using) but 2nd, have a french version! I have a US one...(they installed a modified version of IE with their logo instead of a spinning (e), and i had to connect to a special server that creates the account and then connect to another to be online...anyway i finally got online after a couple of hours(and a couple telephone)...but the initial software i was supposed to use never worked, kind of remind me of an AOL registration session...)

    I dont understand why you cant just call up their ISP and register and get online within 10 minutes, thats the way it works where i live :-/

    you mean from boot to reboot? because installing 450megs on my dual PIII-450 with 40x scsi cdrom takes abouts 2-3 minutes.
