The possibilities are endless. Of course the mods aren't familiar with the Holocaust, because they never would have modded Insightful if they knew what the "yellow star" referred to.
And that's what the Gutenberg Bible is - a Latin Vulgate. I think it would be interesting to do this work on the Gut but...wouldn't it be easier to work from a text that is already machine-readable?
Those are (from my own view as a hobbyist translator) the positively WORST translations out there. The NRSV is much better as a translation, if you must have a modern English version, and if not, sure, anything is OK, but try reading a Geneva Bible, or better, William Tyndale (the "Matthews Bible").
InfoZip (and their WiZ project), PKWARE, Nico Mak (WinZip) all make them, and there are self-extractors for all the various Unices as well. Plus graphical ZIP extractors aren't hard to find either.
Yes, even Windows, DOS and the MacOS have X servers. I like your point - ssh into the system, launch the app, run it remotely over X Window - hell, that would save a lot of aggravation if everything was run that way - but might make some new company out to be a borg, borg, borg...
Close, but no cigar. I've fixed the caps because of the Lameness Filter, but here is the actual text ripped from the game - Zero Wing by Toaplan for Megadrive (UK Genesis)

They used to. These days MTV is teh sux and I'd rather watch VH1 or CMT.
Oh, how I pine for the late 80s/early 90s, when there was QUALITY music video on these channels, and QUANTITY to match. O_o

Oh?
I thought they were going after the downloaders.

You know, inflammable and flammable are exactly the same thing. You mean non-flammable.

I mean directly paying property taxes...of course...

A flash mob is a slashdotting - just in person.

Makes sense. But I lived in the area. (I don't pay taxes tho as I rent)

Or you've never gotten a library card, which usually has a nominal fee?
You must be shitting me.
I have had cards for the local public library network for 8 years and only had to pay if I lost the card.

Fair use...that'd be so roxor.

Well, these PHBs obviously don't have half a brain now do they?

Who needs the Gut when you can look at a machine-readable Latin Vulgate at http://unbound.biola.edu/ ?
And that's what the Gutenberg Bible is - a Latin Vulgate. I think it would be interesting to do this work on the Gut but...wouldn't it be easier to work from a text that is already machine-readable?

Apparently not, if M$ bet the farm on it before creating DirectX...

All of that post is 100% correct (as a Bibliophile).

Please don't lump Catholics and Protestants in the same category.
I hate the Catholics, but there's a big difference there.

I don't think M$ is out to protect Linux by steamrolling SCOrdure.

The answer is ZIP self-extractors!

I always spell it "naïveté".
And that's not because I like being a grenouille, because frankly, I don't like the grenouilles.

??? I see no such thing.

You're thinking Master System. Megadrive was quite the same thing (68000 - 32/16bit CPU) as the Genesis.
