    Due to MS's monopolitic grip, it's almost impossible to avoid having to use their awful products.

    And as for referring to users as "zealots", well, Linux has zealots, MS doesn't. Linux is better in almost every way to Windows. Doesn't that tell you something?

    That's right, MS software isn't even good enough to attract zealots.

    Anyone in their right mind would use LaTeX for this purpose, as anyone would do for serious document preparation system.

    I'll stick to my quality, free, open-source software and everyone else can go fuck themselves.

    The BBC is no better than ITV or Channel 4, if not worse. Now they don't have Match of the Day, the only thing worth watching is the Simpsons. And it's not worth £110 a year just so there's no adverts in the middle of it.

    And it isn't braindead enough to open a new main window just for each page you open.

    And it makes it as easy as possible to turn on/off javascript/java/images.

    And navigating the config isn't slow as fuck.

    And it doesn't keep the history and cache in secret cryptic directories.

    And it has a separate window dedicated to downloading files, so you don't have a little pop-up window for every downloading file cluttering up the place.

    And when a download breaks you can select "resume".

    Opera kicks the shit out of IE in every factor save price.

    Oh come on. People don't voluntarily chose IE. They use it because it comes with the computer. The same reason people Outlook Express and Windows.

    I can't see how this is anything that can't be done with a simple cgi script with a web interface that runs an mp3 player on your computer.

    As for sound quality, mp3s are relatively crap quality anyway.

    Debian has had apt-get for as long as I can remember.

    I don't think I can upgrade from Windows ME to Windows XP via a single command. I can in Debian.

    Apt-get seems to take care of that for me.
