    In Canada, as an adult, these things are completely illegal.

    They're illegal here, too. The question at hand is whether the court is going to let the perps get away with molesting a child just because they were state employees.

    Was build-to-order and fast delivery. They grew like crazy by being aggressive cost-cutters, and when they cut the costs to the point where their low quality started to get on their customers' nerves, their decline was a foregone conclusion.

    It's not like MS sues people for running windows on non-standard hardware.

    Both Apple and MS will sue you for using their products without a license to do so. Apple only offers OS X licenses for their own hardware, and they're entirely within their rights to do so. If you don't like their terms, then don't buy it.

    Except we know the value of the software, Apple sells it seperately for $130, or about what an OEM edition of Vista Business adds to a typical Dell.

    We can therefore conclude that installing Windows on a PC degrades its value by $370. Good to know.

    I'm not sure McNealy still cares. He's the one who handed it over the Schwartz, after all. I'm sure he cashed out enough that he didn't hurt too much as the stock declined.
