    A couple of years ago, a Linux machine running Tux could saturate GigE on the standard Specweb benchmark with two of its processors disabled, and windows couldn't with all four in play.

    It's not TCP that's keeping windows down.

    I have a $750 24" Dell Widescreen that's simply beautiful. I have my 1GHz powerbook connected via DVI, my Athlon/XP machine connected via D-SUB, my XBox connected via component in, and my DirecTV receiver connected via S-Video. That leaves a composite input unused. It also has a USB hub and card reader built in, and a nice stand that lets is mive up, down and all around (tilt, rotate, rise, fall). Also has PIP.

    Us Mac users appreciate the fact that Blizzard shipped a first-class Mac version of WoW. How was it done? Was the Mac version developed side-by-side, or ported later? What was your experience creating the Mac version -- good, bad? Were there issues with DirectX vs OpenGL/OpenAL? In short, how wasy was it for you to create a dual-platform game?

    Since learning Objective-C, it's become my favorite C-type language. It's not something I have to use, it's something I like to use.

    Actually, apple flirted with Linux in the 90s. Remember mkLinux?

    Linux has insanely efficient thread creation. I wonder if XNU can obtain that type of performance.
