Totally agree. I see no reason why it shouldn't charge via whatever port is connects to. That is how the iPod works after all (except with Firewire), and that doesn't seem to be causing anybody any problems. Of course, if you're really concerned, there's probably an adapter out there to provide wall power without a computer. With my iPod, I have a power brick with a firewire port on the end. Plug the iPod into it, stick it into a wall, and there's power.

Trigun is another anime they've shown that takes a while to get in to, but is absolutely brilliant in the long run.

I was totally disinterested in it when I first saw it on CN--the first half of the series is entirely fluff--but when I was left with nothing but all of Trigun and no TV for a couple of weeks, I watched it through to the end, and the last few episodes are twisted and brilliant.

On the other hand, I have grown to dislike anime on Adult Swim. I think they tend to play fluff more than anything else, and they tend to quit playing good series, or interrupt them indefinitely. .hack//Sign is another brilliant-in-the-long-run series, and I'm not convinced they ever finished it at all, and now they're showing the considerably-more-fluff .hack//Dusk.

Not to mention they seem to have a habit of not finishing series in general. I understand that ratings are where it's at, but some of these series are only 13 episodes. It just seems silly to me.

Oh and to go back and answer the greatest anime movie question, I'm torn between Grave of the Fireflys and The End of Evangeleon. Both are amazing, and both are emotional/mental wrecks.

Around eighteen months ago, I made a couple of joke claims when we had a slow day at work. I actually received a call from a lawyer less than a day later to argue over the legality of my claim.

Here's the tricky part though... he wasn't trying to find out if I was some wacko or whatever, he wanted me to know that HE owned the sun. No joke.

I'm just glad this crazy asshole is making a fool of himself for me, that way I'll have a good idea just how much of an asshole I can make myself. Nothing like going down in history for claiming the Sun and Olympus Mons.

You're probably thinking of the Sega Nomad when you're talking about a portable Genesis. They go pretty cheap on Ebay. I think the problem was that by the time Sega put the Nomad out, they were producing higher quality games. When you're talking PSX/Saturn/N64/etc, nobody wants to carry around a Genesis... especially when you're talking about full size carts and a large handheld. With it's video out and controller in ports, it was basically a Genesis with an LCD.

What I finally realised is that even with limitless power, there is no way something with a screen that small and limited controls will ever be as useful as a real computer. Phones should make phone calls. The only real innovation I've seen lately is iSync from Apple, where you can syncronize addresses between your Palm, phone, and computer via bluetooth (not that I can afford a bluetooth phone). The only downside is you have to use their service to upload pictures to it via the internet.. but of course, other people can upload pictures to it for you if you give them permission (kind of cool).
