Hold on there. Blaming the "open computer community" for not adding security to SMTP and DNS is like blaming the Model T Ford for all the poution in the world. Back when these protocols were invented it wasn't even concieved security could be a requirement, not to mention hey didn't have the processing power to do it in most cases.

The problem in my opinion is that these protocols were designed too well. They should have become overloaded and been replaced with something more appropriate a long time ago.

And lets face it is it really worth the risk of letting the breed? DRM should no longer scare _ANYONE_

When was the last time MS owned every webserver in existence?

My point is that there will be 2 possible outcomes to DRM

    1. It will be MS only and they will lock out everything else. But doing this then means that over half of the webservers in the world are no longer able to host "secure" content and would probably result in IE bringing up 10 confirmation windows whenever you hit one of these sites. How many people would stand for this?

    2. It will be avaliable to everyone and we will finally having a "trusted" computer model where copyrights are enforced in digital media and all related media. This may not be a bad thing as it will show digital media companies just how many people would by CD's when they can't download them (I'm thinking there will be no increase and it may in fact drop). This will of course invent new ways to copy media via an analogue system with little or no percieved difference (assuming the system isn't cracked in the first place)

So what we will get in the end is all the same media avaliable for download if we really want it (with possibly a slight quality loss), BUT we will also get a completly trusted computing environment for banking, online purchasing and even email (filtering SPAM anyone?)

So sniff the packets, find out where it's connecting (probably IRC of some sort), join the channel since even if it's password protected you can just sniff that as well. Wait until another person connects (shouldn't be to difficult since the bots will have randomised nicks and the real person won't) get their IP and report then to every authority you can find.

In 2 way they only use 2 of the 3 HT cotrollers and only one talks to another CPU (the second connects to the HT controller). In 4way config the CPU's use 2 HT controllers to talk to CPUs and one of them uses the third to talk to an HT controller (in fact sometime they have 2 CPUs talking to HT controllers, one for PCI-X and the other for all the rest). Finally in 8way 4 of the CPUs use all 3 of their HT controllers and the 4 at the edges only use 2, but again some also have to talk to the HT controller(s) on the "outside"

The standard Athlon64 will be in 764 pin and have a single channel memory controller. Obviously if the released the FX in this package they would need a whole new line of motherboards that supported dual channel memory.

This happens because _EACH_ 32 bit app can access it's own 4GB of memory. The OS/kernel will not be in this memory so the app will have all 4GB to itself.
