I'm fairly certain there are currently more compelling UMD movies available for the PSP than there are games. Now we hear that the sales are nearly split. I find it humorous that the PSP is not being used in it's primary function. Does that make it a failure?
I'm not trying to be a smart ass, but didn't THIEF do exactly what you're asking (light/sound discipline)?
What concerns me in terms of gameplay is that rather than design compelling content, we'll see a bunch of levels where the UV level changes eratically, making it difficult to see what's going on. Such a thing will make the game difficult to play, but not necessarily make the game entertaining or intriguing.
...I'd play Doom 3.
Hopefully Valve will make this concept work for the game, rather than the game work for the concept, which is what id was guilty of.
For a number of reasons, including who conducted it (Macrovision), their sample target (Techno-savvy gamers), and their sample size (6,000). Not to mention that we haven't yet seen the actual survey that they (presumably) e-mailed these people.
There's also the issue of multiple responses from the same person. I assume they tried to prevent this with IP logging, but it is certainly still feasible. Also unknown are they type of "gaming" sites. If they attached a survery to GameCopyWorld.com, that just might skew the results a tad bit.
I will take this article and with it, a giant-sized cube of salt.
Something for anybody to try: Before you go into your final battle with Kriea, Save your game (you've probably done this anyway, since you've just defeated Sion and you're expecting some great kick-assery to be coming). Before/during/after your battle with Kriea, there will be obvious light/dark dialogue choices. Stick with one or the other and you'll be able to see either light or dark ending.
The build-up is pointless. The influence gained is pointless. The whole freegin' game up to the final "battle" is pointless! When you can literally select your good guy/bad guy ending just with two dialogue choices at the end, you know there's a problem.
Oh, and here's the only real difference between light/dark: Dark Side, you don't find out SHIT about the sidekicks. You just assume they died because the Ebon Hawk fell into oblivion at some point. Then, the final shot has the camera panning away from the planet, there's just no Ebon Hawk flying in it.
Then why post? Why read/.? If you really can't stand the mods or the posters, why would you bother to become part of it?
To say something like, "I hate mankind" is understandable because you weren't really given the choice of being human. However, you did choose to navigate over to slashdot. You then chose to click the link over to this article. And then you chose to read some of these posts.

Just for once, it might be fun to drop some cynicism and give it a try, don't ya think?

I'm currently grabbing the 19MB torrent version. I'll up that as soon as the DL is complete.
I've posted it on my site. Please, be gentle.
The purpose of the device is to be forward-thinking. That means digital technology, not archaic analog BS.
If you want to record from S-Video, just buy this JVC VCR.
BB has two panasonic DVD-R models in their ad this week.
Dude.
My bad.
You're correct, Sir. It is the other way around; Evens are good, hence the dept. name on the post.
Case in point:
KAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHN! is the Greatest. Trek. Ever.

If you made it this far, don't bitch about it.
I think going to the movies to see the just the movie stopped happening when the Episode I trailer premiered with Wing Commander.
Who in their right mind would see that crap without having an alternative reason?
