    Without the 's' windows searches up all my files containing the letter 'o' :)

    Yes, I've tried, and succeeded.
    The starter engine gets the car going at a few kilometres per hour and that lifts off enough load from the engine for it to start. Bumpy ride though.

    Fun to play with those tiny 1980's japanese cars, those which value are doubled when refuelled :)

    I'd say if you overclock your brain, everything would appear to happen slower. You'd just get really bored with your overly slow body...

    If it could compress random data it could compress its own achives. So nothing would stop you from compressing stuff over and over again, shaving 30% off each time.

    Sadly compression doesn't work this way, so I'd put my money on that it's JPEG only.

    Aren't you Americans a tad thick sometimes?
    We don't even have checking accounts, except for a few legacy goverment accounts. A private person has been unable to open one for the last decade. We are past those ancient papers.

    Stats for the Finnish Communication and Internet Exchange, which is a interconnect between pretty much every ISP in Finland.
    The drop from 7Gbps to 5Gbps happened at the same time as finreactor closed down.

    At that resolution the distortion is not that bad, but try switching your desktop resolution to 800x600 and you'll see what he means.

    I've seen mp3 players, though with only 128 megs of memory, for the price of less than an expensive CD (yes, the disc only, not a CD player).

    To do this you may want to try the filmstrip fileformat. Both Premiere and Photoshop supports this, dunno about GIMP, so editing video frame by frame gets easier. You get a huge pasteboard with all the frames in the image editor.

    I used this when making a lightsaber clip. Drew the white center by hand on every frame, and applied a few filters, mostly blurs, on the entire pasteboard. No hassle with opening (50 secs x 25 fps) 1250 different images :)

    So in the case of your example only the manual erasing part has to be done several times...

    Just a part of the image. Which one would you trust your computer to? The filthy geek or the guy in the slick business suit?

    Not really. If there aren't a lot of pixels with the same colour next to each other, RLE will not compress anything. RLE works best on 256 color bitmaps with big surfaces of the exact same colour.
    Hardly anything like a 24 or more bit photo of the real world.

    It will affect you. It spreads by email. You recieve email. It's disguised as delivery failure notifications, which are a pain to filter, unless you want to keep the legtimate ones.

    In the western case, the 'believers' are imposing their views on women who aren't as enamored with their 'beliefs' as they are themselves.

    It's convenient if you are the ruling class of person in a culture (i.e. a man) to impose 'values' and let anybody else those rules affect just suffer.

    And let's probe a little deeper and explore female breast enlargement/being too fat/western beaty 'standards'. Do you think a 12 year old girl should be brainwashed to think her body should be surgically altered?

    What's the difference? Our surgical procedures are perhaps a bit less painful, but the idea is still the same.

    If DVD+R haves compatibility problems, they are very rare. I recently burned a homemade movie to about 30 persons, and I'd guess they have around 25 different models of DVD players. No playback problems at all.

    I would say it's the other way around. 60 Hz is enough for games, but 60 Hz on the desktop gives me migraine in a matter of minutes.

    Not necessarily the best engine, as Freespace uses a flight simulator model, and Babylon is one of the few sci-fi series that even attempts to use real physics. So I'd think that that a Babylon sim would be better of based on Independece War 2:Egde of Chaos. It's just another spaceshooter, but with real physics this time.

    Does GIMP support the CMYK colour mode?
    Last time I tried it, it didn't. And without CMYK it's completely useless for prepress.
