Kudos for an informative and potentially helpful comment, nicely worded, concise, and polite.:-)
Thanks but "nicely worded"? I don't know. Apparently I must have been quite tired when I wrote that comment, as the last sentence is weird, and probably should have been split in two...:P
Not people who share our views, but people who think it is OK to kill people they disagree with. They bloody shot some nuclear executive. They are terrorists, and unless they renounce terror, they should be resisted with the full force of the law.
Well, that is not what parent said, and not what I reacted too. What he said was "I say kill them all, kill all ludites and eco tree huggers", which goes beyond just the specific eco-anarchists that shot the nuclear executive.
And by the way, if you think it's okay to kill anyone who thinks it's okay to kill people they disagree with, what makes you different from the people you want to kill? Think about it.
Anarchists stand for obolition of governments, these retards are simply ludite/eco terrorists. I say kill them all, kill all ludites and eco tree huggers. The world would be a better place.
Yes. Let's just make it a rule to kill everyone who don't share our views. That would certainly make the world a much better place.
The wikipedia article on eco-anarchism is actually pretty good methinks, and gives a good explanation of eco/green-anarchism. I can also recommend This entry on anarchopedia (who knew there even was such a thing), is also pretty enlightening regarding these groups' ideologies.
Don't know if people are STILL using it, but I got hold of a piece of a Milennium Hoffman blotter in 1999 or 2000 at least, which gave me a definately interesting experience. Didn't try to make any spider webs, though..:)
It says in the description of the video that this robot is used to test clothing.
It does all sorts of movements that soldiers would do, that's how you test clothing.
It also says this in tfa:
"I also asked Raibert if they could eventually use PETMAN or PETMAN-related technologies in other projects. In other words, are we going to see PETMAN used in applications other than the chemical suit tests?
"You bet," he says. "There are all sorts of things robots like PETMAN could be used for. Any place that has been designed for human access, mobility, or manipulation skills. Places like the Fukushima reactors could be accessed by PETMAN-like robots (or AlphaDogs), without requiring any human exposure to hazardous materials. Perhaps firefighting inside of buildings or facilities designed for human access, like on board ships designed for human crews."
This, of course, will mean another big challenge for his team: Transforming the humanoid from a tethered system into a free standing, self-contained robot. Boston Dynamics, however, has already demonstrated its ability to transition to tether-less machines with its BigDog project."
They managed to create a suitable internal powerplant for BigDog, one of their other robots, all the way back in 2008, while still having it tethered inn other, later videos of testing inside, so who know, maybe they have a powerplant designed for Petman too, and just prefere to have it stable enough first, before they progress to untethered testing? Or maybe the sound of the powerplant, resembling a swarm of bees, is something that would drive them crazy during testing inside, and they therefore prefers the tethered design?:)
Here's a video of the untethered Bigdog, from the same company:

Lucky you... I have the same first and last name as a famous tripple-murderer.
Various "interesting" experiences have thought me to use my middle-name when introducing myself to new people...
Actually, I'm pretty sure it's the exact same product as the Zero Footprint PC, exept, maybe they put a Commodore C= Sticker on it, and market it as a new Commodore 64.
To be honest, I had never heard about The Daily Mail untill wednesday. It just happened to be the first English-language newspaper I found covering the lightshow over Norway (all other articles I found at the time was in Norwegian), so I posted the article English article. After finding the BarentsObserver article, I also checked if The Daily Mail had updated its article, and it had, so I added it too, as they apeared to have somewhat more information than the Barents Observer one. However, after reading a bit about The Daily Mail, I probably won't reference it again in the future.
"I knew I was getting old when I first realized that these kids today with their modern legos have it to easy, what with all those crazy custom pieces. Why, when I was a kid, we had to use our imagination to build stuff."
...and we had to walk 15 miles to and from school... in snow storms.... uphill... both ways!
Eugeneticists may use this information to claim the superiority of Europeans, a counterpoint can be made that these people can't be superior because were having sex with sub-humans.
First, I just want to say that I personally don't think Europeans are superior, this is not about European superiority or not.
With that out of the way, just wondering about your argumentation. In what way was the Neanthertals "sub-humans"? We don't know anything about the level of intelligence in Neanderthals, exept that they in general had bigger brains than modern man. The only thing we have is a lot of theories as to why they became extinct, and a common and incorrect view of the Neandertals, as an earlier step on the path to the modern man. And how exactly does fucking these, have anything to do with superiority? Because then you get "sub-human" genes, resulting in a bigger brain?
That depends on how you use the word likeness. The simmilar shape between whales and the Pliosaur is probably a result of somewhat simmilar living conditions. Still, one is a reptile and the other is a mammal, and as far as I know, biologicaly(fell free to correct me on this, I'm no biologist)reptiles are closer to fish, than what mammals are.
There are lots of people like that, some stuck with legacy software that can't realistically be brought into the 21st century, some just dumbfucks like my boss.
You're fired!!

To get a decent range of functionality, however, WILL require that you use commercial software, not least to get an IP stack. Once you've done that, there's some old NCSA applications that support it, like telnet and even lynx.
TIL: I'm actually black.
Congratulations.

...as it spits in the face of the original, and awesome, Syndicate games, which were anything but a dumbed down rail-shooter.
I have no opinion about this.
Thanks for the info.
... What exactly does this have to do with the older pentium architechtures?

'before' not being in the past 2 years. 'way before'.
Who says it hasn't?
if it was a natural phenomenon, it should have happened before elsewhere, and it should have happened again.

Seriously, compare these two pictures: Zero Footprint PC and "new" Commodore 64. Looks similar?

But a few more ticks of the clock and the most monstrous (mankind) will be gone too. And stepping up next to the plate is ..........?
Is it cliché night or something?
Surely these are more whale like then fish like?

And yet... has it? After all, isn't the biggest monster of all... MANKIND??
:D
Aww.... that was cheap.
