It pains me to see someone who has written a book called Secure Programming for Linux and Unix HOWTO, Tools section writing a tool for heuristically checking for security problems in an unsafe language like C or C++.
You're implicitly encouraging the use of two of the only languages that are known to be enablers for severe security problems.
You'd think you'd be advocating modern languages. Here's a question - Why aren't you?
Wow. You make a convincing argument. Especially the bit about Pascal strings.
It's a shame that noone will understand what you've said, though... hopefully you'll be modded up. This is the most convincing argument I've ever heard for Macs being more secure than other OSes (albeit not revolutionary in its security, of course).
Well you see son, there's your arithmetic series and there's your geometric series.
At least, that's the way it's taught in high school math. Presumably, the writers for T2 didn't major in the Math or Sciences. Don't blame them, but there you are. "Geometric rate" is exactly the sort of thing someone would say if their math education never extended beyond high school Algebra.
the meantime, all I want to know is, did Guy Pearce punch out Jeremy Irons, or knock him off a cliff, or impale him on a piece of broken machinery, then say, "Time's up, asshole!"?
Actually, I picked up the Thinkpad 240 ( it's the same form factor, 300mhz, has a 10.4 inch screen instead of your 8inch screen). It was a lot more expensive than $200 and only runs for about 1 1/2 on batteries (heh), but god is it a sweet little machine.
Of course, you're idiots, so you'd never consider using a solution that already exists, has proven its worth, AND has been ported to Linux. You Open Source zealots just want to make things hard for yourself.
Linux is top heavy AND doesn't have real threads. It's useless for a high quality PDA.
Unless you work for BigTelecom company, there is NO WAY that your Java program will be used.
Ooh! It's a Sys Admin. Your opinion sure holds a lot of weight.
No, really. I'm not making fun of you. No, honest!
You don't have to give up security OR features - just use Java or .NET .
But you do give up speed.
Thankfully, 1000MHZ computers are now low end, so who cares? A couple of order of magnitudes increase in security is worth a halving of speed.
I hear this sentiment a lot and it always amuses me.
Do you Americans really think that 80% of the world's population has never heard a dial tone?

Windows 95 was faster than Windows 3.11. Stop talking out your ass.
software tester that's done compiler work
Statement... does not parse.
STARDUST.MOD owns your ass.
Shut up and keep giving Steve Jobs that blow job, you cultist freak.
And Internet Explorer for WinCE.
Problem solved!

ROFL... mod this guy up.
Mwahahaha. Hilarious.
What happened on September 11th was beautiful and cinematic in quality, and ended with a lot of rich bastards dying in various befittingly nasty ways.
Pearl Harbour it wasn't.
It makes the Linux and Open Source community look like a bunch of fractious losers
Hey, I wonder why that is! Hmm...

Microsoft used the BSD interface, not their code.
And what if they did? The whole point of the BSD license is freedom, for you and me and Microsoft and everybody.
You got a problem with freedom, bub?
but want to make .NET work outside of Wintel.
What you're looking for, is called Java.

Or SSX..
It doesn't matter either way, it's obvious he's full of shit.
Now I know what wireless company to avoid investing in.
These guys have the Midas touch.
Because Java is miles beyond what HTML can do. It's a fuller featured, faster, lower latency user interface.
By far.
There's no contest.
I don't know how you can argue that HTML is 'no different' than Java.
No, those are WEB applications
Internet applications will be those written in 100% Java, not HTML (ugh).
Not jst on the right, on the FAR right.
You really have no clue, do you?
