Any mirrors that don't have the word GAMES in it? Gotta love those filters to block access.

Seems I remember that beaconing TR cards could bring any OS/Network to it's knees. Weak point of TR, 1 card could take the whole ring down.

but executives don't see many Blue Screens of Death........... If you want to have some fun with the exec's and they are running W2K press the following sequence when their backs are turned then walk away. Will not cause any damage except a reboot, might want to make sure they don't have anything important open: dir /s enter then F7 enter then F7 enter. This will crash the system and put up the infamous BSOD.

Actually I have loaded the XP 120 day eval on a Pent 120 with 128MB and it runs just fine. Obviously runs faster on better hardware, but was able to load Office 2000 and response is adequate, would be be fine for a home user but probably not for the Corp world. Also as a side note, loaded WinME on same machine but had to force the load using the /np switch as ME refused to recognize and load on anything less than a 150. Use the /np switch and it worked just fine and runs fine.

You can probably get by with Windows Scripting Host (WSH), check the link here:

Oh I remember those .bat files days well. Does anyone remember Edlin, the vi clone? Users used to be amazed when you would drop into Edlin and create this 'magical' batch file that would let them easily start their Lotus 123 or DBase with just pressing a number. You were the hero! Did a lot of things with just DOS. So has anyone checked to see if DOS still lives in XP? Seem to remember seeing a DOS command prompt window, did they upgrade it to 32 bit?
