It's the principle of the thing. What's important is not that it's a 'right' or it isn't one, but that it's wrong to spy on people and use that information to your advantage. Anyway, there is an amendment against unreasonable search and seizure, which is basically saying privacy's a right in 18th century terms.
If you think that's okay that the government can find and threaten dissent, then whatever, but just because you're paranoid doesn't mean their not after you.
No no no no, specifications? Rarely are customers so organized. Programmers are given a basic end result which they then have to engineer from what time and technology is avaliable to them. Writing a serious program is much more than understanding for loops. Any complex program nowadays can contain hundreds of classes and files, and the organization and design of these is engineered by the programming team. What's going the their minds is very akin to what an engineer has to consider when planning a bridge.
A webmaster or a maintenance programmer are code-monkeys. Anyone who actually works on a real projects deserve more respect than that.
That might be a nice dream for say, a dictatorship. However, as an American, I prefer to dream about freedom.
Sad truth is, this law is to protect the profits of the telecommunication industry by outlawing more stuff that the company's don't want Americans to have access to.
"I thought, 'Is it God? Is it an attack? Are we going to die?' The light freaked me out. It felt really funny, like it went through me," she said.
In a statement released later, God denied any involvement in the meteor attack on Chicago, saying he was busy blessing and damning souls at the time. No other supernaturals have commented on the charges, although the leader of the Vulcans stated that attributing the attack to them would, of course, be highly illogical.
Paranormal scientists currently are investigating the Roman and Greek Dieties for involvment, as they could not be found anywhere, perhaps in hiding.
My cell phone(Sprint) dies 10 minutes north of the city I now live in(Portland, ME). So they said they have 'coverage', but it's just one tower in this city, and probably no other towers in the state, so it's useless if I visit friends up north.
Of course, everyone else's cells work fine, I just had to buy from the one company that doesn't give a crap about the area and doesn't share towers.
Of course, since I'm too lazy to change my phone number and tell everyone a new number who needs to know it, I stay with crappy Sprint. I hope this thing goes through for hard-working lazy people like me.
I am usually sufficiently gratified when I crush someone I suspect strongly of cheating by knowing it's probably some whiny 13 year old staring at his screen in impotent frustration to not really care about the other 9 out of 10 times he's beat me, not by skill but through some technology he most likely didn't create.
And then of course, when you finally beat him, he accuses you of cheating.:)
Registration keys and such I can crack. But I don't even know how to access the security chip inside the new warning label, so how can I crack it! I guess I'll just have to return to being an upstanding citizen again.
DoCoMo investigations found that about 950 million e-mails are sent to i-mode users each day, but about 880 million of these are sent to addresses that do not exist.

won the right to be re-released to 800 theatres this Friday. Disney will be announcing plans to re-release the Japanese masterpiece in theatres later today
Are they saying that it would been illegal for the movie to show in any theatres if it hadn't won an Oscar? Or is this just a deal they had with the 800 theatres? Or an internal Disney thing?
If it's the former, then that industry is more red-taped than I had thought.
We are currently working on a new, much more serious project: A five-assed monkey!
Unless, of course, you work for The Onion, which has a license to parody.
(Although I trust their insight more than CNNs...)
'i' is just short for Internet. It has nothing to do with Apple. Just like 'e' is short for electronic.

What is your name?
What is your quest?
What is the power of lobbyists for the current technology?

Well, for starters, American children are implanted with ID tags, which broadcast things like name, address, and favorite foods.
In the name of homeland security, of course.
