Apple's biting itself in the ass over this one. Making it so that less files floating around the Internet will be in Quicktime format means that less people will want Quicktime software...duh
The sheer amount of terms being made up on the spot here is mind-boggling. Sure, I've heard of spyware, malware, and etc...but I'm sure some of these are made up! Everyone and their brother are using a new term: crapware, monkeyware, Kazaaware, or some other inane Xware name. Has anyone thought of calling Kazaa software?
I tried to submit a story in September about the GP32, but obviously it wasn't posted on/.
My site (www.HandheldHQ.net) has been covering the GP32 since October, so I'm not simply bragging when I say it's got more coverage than nearly any other site. I hope my site doesn't get Slashdotted from merely posting it here, but oh well--at least some more people can learn about this handheld, which I am really hyped about.
This is a pretty weird coincidence. I couldn't find a song I was looking for on Morpheus, so I went to download AudioGalaxy just about half an hour earlier. It wouldn't let me log on to the server...it said the program was old and I needed to upgrade (though I went and got the newest version from the offical site). I gave up, uninstalled AG, then came to Slashdot where I was greeted by this!
Guess it's a good thing it wouldn't let me use it after all...
last night, we watched back-to-back, in chronological order, every Kevin Smith film, including the Clerks cartoons and his early shit like 'drawing flies'.
On Monday night, I and 2 other guys went to a friend's house for a LAN party. We mostly shared files and played PS2, but game everyone played most on our PCs was Quake 3. With one CD and one CD key, everyone can play...so that's what I'd recommend.
People have been throwing around comments regarding Quake. Well, Doom has already been ported to GBA, so why not Quake?
And as for Bluetooth, sure, being able to play Advance Wars against some snot-nosed kid in Outer Mongolia is wonderful, but IMO the most practical use of this is setting up a network in your house, so you can play against your friends without being confined to a short length of semi-flexible cord.
...I find it interesting that there is just NOW an article about this, because SNK declared bankruptcy and went out of business many months ago. Farewell, SNK. I have a tattoo on my arm that says "SNK 1978-2001"...but it was made with a marker, so it won't last long...
All GameCube units across the country should be ripped apart. Keep it up, guys! If you are thinking of "dissecting" your GameCube, remember to smash the hell out of it with a hammer first, and smash your games to bits. Whee!
~another crazed Xbox & PS2 fan
of course they're going to be biased...Xbox is made by Microsoft, and Microsoft can do no good, remember? Classic/. mentality. Personally, I think the GameCube is a pile of crap.
spammers sue their victims for angry replies, claiming emotional damage.
Iraq to follow suit. Pshh.
Common sense...Spider-Man was a good movie on it's own, it didn't NEED it's huge franchise to make people buy tickets.

Not that I ever liked Quicktime, anyway.
