    I agree that in the long term space travel will be deemed very important. However, that does not create the funds to pay for it. You sidestepped my point, which is that we cannot afford it.

    You answered your own question - in the long term it will be very important. Try reading up on some of the mission objectives and payloads before you categorically deny that no "great innovations" have resulted. Long-term missions and space habitability experience cannot be solved on paper.

    You make the knee-jerk assumption (as did the activists that put the names on the website) that anyone who signed it is in favor of it. A signature simply means that the person feels the issue is important enough that people should vote on it. To assume more makes you the one who's not open minded.

    I'd love to set a system up for my truck - a camera in each detection. It only records when it detects motion while off - records full time while driving.

    As I read through the comments here, this seems to be a common theme. For those who don't touch type, they can't conceive how learning to do so would make them more productive. For those that do touch type, they can't imagine NOT knowing how to.

    Even giving it a 25% increase (which is more than it's likely to be) would be negligible.
    Tell ya what, let's call it a 10% increase. I'll go home every Friday at noon while you stay until 5:00. ;)
