GPS, proximity sensors, RFID chips embedded in the middle of the lane. That'll get you started. Then sync up cars in a line, 12 inches off the bumper in front of them.
There is a significant part of the population that uses analog TV as their primary point of communication to the outside world. Think emergency scenarios like tornado warnings, 911-type events, and the Cardinals having a shot to win the SuperBowl.
Not that I agree with the delay - just saying TV isn't just entertainment.
And 64K should be enough RAM for anyone. You do realize that some people do own planes and that they do fly them, right? How is this any different? You're not gonna see the average person with a flying car anytime soon, but I do believe that there will be a group of enthusiasts who have them soon. That group will slowly expand, becoming more and more mainstream. During that time, the technology will evolve, making the vehicles safer and more of the process will be automated.
In my view this has nothing to do with them being Muslim (if indeed they are) but everything to do with them saying something silly, it being miscontrued (by two separate people) and then them getting cross and wanting to sue someone.
Wha? How fun is that? Apparently you didn't get the memo - it's perfectly fine to get 1/2 the story and then rant-n-rave about civil rights, racism, and how stupid our society is.
They got a refund on their ticket purchase price, but not on the replacement tickets which they had to buy thanks to AirTran, likely at a substantially higher price than what they paid for the original AirTran tickets.
The fallacy comes in when people start touting said non-existence as a proven fact when it's only based on our current understanding of science. Like this article itself - dismissing it all as hallucinations. Current science can't explain it, so it must be a hallucination.
We should prolly start teaching goats how to do all that cloning and stem cell stuff. Or dogs, they go apeshit when you come home - I'm sure they'd be eager to help.
I find it incredibly ironic that in an article about the LHC - in which we're trying to push the bounds of our understanding of science - you take our current understanding as proof that God doesn't exist. Then you take it a step further and denounce faith as stupidity.
Good luck getting anyone to vote in this country. We've had some of the lowest rates of voter turnout of any democracy for many, many election cycles now....
You're saying this coming off a primary/caucus season with record turnouts?
- He has been absent nine times - Nine times? - Nine times - He hasn't been sick nine times - That's probably because he wasn't sick, he was skipping school. Wake up and smell the coffee. It's a fool's paradise, he's leading you down the primrose path. - I can't believe it. - It's right here in front of me, he has missed nine days.
It's a football field, 200 miles away, traveling at 17,500 mph.
You try it.
So why all the hate from all the posters?
Maybe it's easier to hate a big, bad oil company than worrying about how your morning commute contributes to the problem.

So you asked for a citation, it was given, and now that's not good enough?
Where's your contrary evidence?
Wish I had mod points - you nailed it.
Blaming religion is the easy (and popular) target. IMHO, we need to blame the civ lib jackasses who won't let the school district discipline students.
No need - what's the first word that comes to mind when you hear "frivolous"?

Flying cars will NOT happen.

What more did they owe them?
Doesn't matter - because that implies that it's okay to profile one group of people, but not another.
Let me guess - you don't have a degree.
I know a 17 year old Kid that knows more about automotive engineering than all of the engineers that work at GM combined.
In case you're wondering, that's where you lost your credibility.
Still saving up to get her that procedure, huh? ;)

Or the cell phone is glued to their head.
Or how about buying a shitload of dirt?
