Have you ever spoken to these so called "innocent" arabs. Pretty much all the ones I know seem really rational until the topic of Israel comes up and then they basically say they support the Jihadists. Hezbolla and other terrorist groups get most of their funding from these so-called "innocent" arabs. Frankly, I have no sympathy. If Muslim culture is so great, why aren't these people living in one of the many muslim countries in the world?

Some Timothy McVey wannabe is probably thinking how bad-ass his cammo looking bag is.

Actually, about half of the worldn't terrorism since 1990 has been muslim terrorsim. You can easily check this on Wikipedia. That is well out of proportion to the world population of muslims. That isn't to say all terrorists are muslims. That isn't to say that all muslims are terrorists. However, there is a strong link between the two.

That's bullshit. The term terrorist was in wide use before 9/11. I remember it being used in the 1980s - for example to describe the suicide truck bombing of American Marines stationed in Beruit. I also remember it being used to describe the Unabomber and the Oklahoma City bombing.

I'm still waiting them to release a version I can play on my Atari 1450XLD.

For those who don't get the reference - Atari announced this top of the line 8Bit computer in 1983 as if it were already shipping. Two years later they "canceled" it. There were never any units actually made (other than prototype), yet they advertised it as a shipping product. I had the misfortune that my family decided to get one and we decided to not buy a new computer to replace our Atari 400 until we could get one of these. All the mail order houses "advertised" them with "call for price". I was 12 (with all that implies), so I called them every couple of days for about 8 months asking when they were going to have units available to sell. So, to me, the Atari 1450XLD computer is the epitome of vapor ware.

If that were true, then that criteria would not be a useful or pertinent criteria for hiring anyone, minority or not.

Let me give you an example. In a graduate program that I used to be in, I was familiar with the adminissions process. The way it worked was that a certain number of slots were reserved for a particular minority group. Lets say there were X "regular slots" and Y "minority slots". We wanted people with high grades and high GRE scores. So, for the regular slots, we took the X people with the highest grades and GRE scores. For the minority slots, we took Y minorities who had the highest grades and GRE scores among the minority applicants. What this resulted in was that to be admitted to the program you had to have GRE scores and grades about 20% better if you were not a member of the minority group than if you were. This does not mean that grades or GRE scores are not pertinent to the selection of candidates.
