Yes, I do. Music Match was second. They ran very aggressive ads against Apple and priced their music at 79 cents per song rather than Apple's 99 cents. Also, their spokesperson (CEO?) said that Apple was "stupid" because they came out with iTMS for Mac first rather than Windows. He predicted that Music Match would dominate the market because they were able to reach 95% of the potential customers while Apple was only able to reach 5%. He really went on and on about how "stupid" Apple and Steve Jobs were for this.
Also, I seem to recall they had some ads that were parody's of Apple's iPod ads at the time that involved smashing some guitars.
Then, Apple came out with iTunes for Windows and I never heard about them again. Maybe it wasn't so stupid after all to get the bugs out of a large system like iTMS using your super-loyal Mac customers as guinea pigs before turning on the spigot for the rest of the world.
OK, but what if one or the other is late for engineering reasons?
Apple tried a similar strategy in the 90s. They expected cheap PowerPC based clones based on either the PREP standard or the CHRP standard to become available that would run many different OSes and they expected to have Pink and later Copland available at the same time.
What actually happened was that Apple couldn't deliver the OS, so they killed the PREP/CHRP standard concept and licensed System 7 to some very Mac friendly clone makers.
The strategy at the time it was announced sounded like it could make sense. You could get a cheap PowerPC clone computer and then choose what OS you wanted to run. Supposedly there was going to be Windows NT, some various flavors of Unix/Linux, and maybe some other contenders. Apple believed they could come out on top in this scenario. The problem came because they could not bring all of the technical pieces to market at the same time.
They teach Zeus as a literary figure. If they want to teach about religion from a secular point of view, the courts have upheld that it is OK to do so.
But I've got to warn you that in doing so, it will definately give the kids the idea that creationism is intellectually dishonest.
I took some classes from a religious studies professor in college who said that whether a person accepts evolution mostly has to do with whether he or she likes animals. I guess he was right.
This is based on your extensive experiences as a parent? Methinks not. Go ahead, stick a laptop and its extended power cord on the kitchen table, assuming you have a kitchen with space for that. I'll give it 6 months - tops - before it's whiplashed off the table and destroyed.
My child has a WiFi enabled iBook running MacOS X. She has it in her bedroom and it is her computer and I don't monitor what she does on it (although she often tells me what she is doing). I'm not particularly worried about it either. I think that these stories are overblown.
I'd be much more worried if she were using Windows:-) (She is an even more of a Mac bigot than I am - thank goodness.)
My point is that she is a well behaved child and I'm not worried.
I highly doubt that. I would rather go public. You expose something like that to the DA, he will call Diebold and you'll get a visit from some guy who will "take you for a ride".
If you feel that way, instead of name calling perhaps you should be setting up a defence fund to help Heller's legal defence and also to help his family while he is in prison as the GPP suggested.
Part of being an indie band is self promotion. If I were to see you perform live, and I thought you were good, I would buy your music from iTMS. Get out there and play some gigs and let your audience know where they can buy your music.
Not to mention that many areas might be weak for one carrier and not another.
Who remembers watching a movie just three years ago? Like it better back then?
What are you talking about? Everyone had cell phones three years ago. Try ten years ago.
If you are expecting an emergency call, don't go to movies, dumbass.
Read it sometime. If you don't like the terms, don't buy the ticket.
Exactly why I haven't seen a movie in years. I don't like facist "contracts" that I don't have an equal hand in negotiating.
Can you remember who was second?
Yes, I do. Music Match was second. They ran very aggressive ads against Apple and priced their music at 79 cents per song rather than Apple's 99 cents. You could just drive a car through the wall of the building to get in.
Shave and a haircut. Either my door would be very vulnerable to intruders who are familiar with Bugs Bunny, or I would be locked out all the time!

No, mod him as overrated, please. My post should not be flame bait.

Smart religious people obviously would want their religion taught to their kids by their church, not by a public school.
That's a great joke, but we all know that "smart religious" is an oxymoron.
How is what he said "anti-religious"?
I took some classes from a religious studies professor in college who said that whether a person accepts evolution mostly has to do with whether he or she likes animals. I guess he was right.
Try "abuse@vtext.com".
I was already capable of figuring out that the "neo-nazi's of Oregan" aren't really a nice bunch to hang out with
Yes, you will pick up very bad spelling from that group.

One more reason you should buy a MacBook Pro.

That's a cop out and you are a hypocrite.
By your logic everyone should be on trial all the time for every crime on the books.
The "proper" authority is the people of California. Read the constitution sometime.
If you feel that way, instead of name calling perhaps you should be setting up a defence fund to help Heller's legal defence and also to help his family while he is in prison as the GPP suggested.
You are as crazy as a spin bug.

But with AIFF you will never have the clarity that you have with an original 78!
