I think the GPP is talking about the scenario where you produce more units than you can sell and the costs of having a bunch of unsold inventory are significant.
I am no longer using Google because of their support for censorship in China.
I am currently a Safari user, but because I can't remove the google search widget in Safari, I am switching to Firefox. I am planning to switch to another search engine. (Perhaps altavista.)
I'm thinking of organizing a boycott Google campaign.
I think it would have been better for Google to be blocked in China. How can I tell that Google isn't going to block my results here in the US? I guess if the administration or congress wants them to block, they will just roll over now like they did in China.
1. It is closer in mass and size to earth than to (example) Jupiter. 2. Its density is closer to that of earth than to, say, a neutron star. 3. It is made of matter and not anti-matter.
That's a pretty safe bet. Pixars movies have been very good and there is no where to go but down from there. Disney's have been abysmal and there is no where to go but up.
The fact that they are hypocrtical. First, they used stories from the public domain to build their empire. Then they use their money and power to bribe congress to extend copyright from the original 14 years to be basically infinite. Thus, no material can ever enter the public domain again.
But now that this article has surfaced, I want to see it, to see if it really does have graphic secual content, or if the MPAA was just trying to hush a movie.
I'll save you the trouble and personally guarentee that it does not have graphic secual content.
They did not use gcc for the benchmarks they showed at MacWorld. They used IBM's PPC compiler and Intel's compiler. They said they wanted to use "the fastest available" for each chip.
When cattle move to these new macs I'll be able to pick up one of the current models for a fraction and that's all I want! =)
Maybe. Good luck. I used to buy only discontinued Macintosh systems - back in early to mid 90s. Back then you got great deals on them and they were better quality because you were usually buying one of the last machines of a particular model rather than a first generation machine of the new model.
Since Jobs came back, I haven't seen these kinds of deals. The channel typically runs dry just before new machines are introduced.
I'd agree except that I've talked to a lot of people at Apple both before, during, and after Steve Jobs return. He really is personally involved in the 5% of the most important decisions at Apple at any given time. That amounts to tremendous personal attention to the details of what is going on - and it also sets the tone for the other 95% of the decisions that get made when he isn't around.
Man... I remember having this conversation about 8 years ago, when EVERYBODY had a Newton
You misspelled "Palm".

They suck and I have lost all respect for them.
Not only that, but Jobs personally approved both the "1984" and "Think Different" commercials.
I was actually trying to make a joke by describing earthlike in this way, but I failed to convey humor in my delivery.

I'm merely pointing out that there is a "ceiling effect" and a "floor effect" with the quality of movies from the two companies.

OK. I want all the cameras that are recording things in public places shut down because they are "stalking" me.
See how silly that sounds when it isn't the MPAA saying it?
Because many small children can change the disc, but don't know which button is "eject".

My guess is that Photocasting was probably implemented by different actual people than those who are on the Safari team.
NO, this is not something that should be fixed with the next update
I don't understand. Why would you not want this fixed?
Apple is definately better off. But isn't Sun pretty much circling the drain?
Fine. You can also build a car out of parts from the junkyard. You can also live perfectly well by eating out of dumpsters.
I'll stick to my wife's cooking, using my Mac, and driving my Mercedes.
As much as I dislike spam, I have not actually been awakened at night due to a spam message yet.
On the other hand, if you are on trial for the murder of a big time spammer and I'm on the jury, you won't be convicted.
I thought this was kind of cool until I read that Inkwell is not supported. What's up with that? It pretty much makes the tablet useless.
or just be stupid and call it a PowerBook for no damn reason
I guess Apple was just stupid.
You are only going to live a finite amount of time. Any time spent using Windows is too much.

Office Basic (as the mac comes with iWork '06)
No, it comes with iWork '06 preview. If you want iWork preinstalled, it is a BTO option for $79 which is the same as retail price.
