Hah, tell me about it. It's a battle I fight everyday at work.
A small group of people who believe it's very much okay to write things that simply don't work in other browser. There's no consideration for Accessibility, Usability or standards. The HTML is a huge mess, doesn't conform to anything, has a mixture of upper and lower case tags, properties with single quotes, double quotes, no quotes. Heavy use of IFRAME, heavy use of JavaScript, pop-ups, no consideration for colour blind users, no ability to change font size.
It's not about the applications that are used though, it's about recognising and acknowledgement.
I don't know why it should be called "Linux" at all, really. What you're using is the GNU System, and within that there are some parts which are not GNU, but still designed to operate with it, including the kernel. The fact you could use the Hurd, doesn't really change all that much... You're still using the GNU system, albeit with a few different options. What doesn't change is that you're using some of the base GNU stuff.
I wish they would stop referring to the "Linux operating system" - it makes the work of the FSF seems non-existant, it also makes Linus to have done something he didn't.
It would be good if these articles also pointed out some of the real history of the GNU project, and how the Linux kernel fits into it, and how GNU/Linux was born.
Chicago is a great font! Next you'll be coming on here and complaining that you don't like Comic Sans MS, Wingdings, Webdings, and other useless fonts.;)
Hey there...
I spotted you earlier on another thread and figured it was you. I added you as a friend to remind me to contact you.
This isn't really a great place to chat, so drop me email at matt at the domain in my URL link above...
Hmm, references to fonts in the stylesheet suggest it wasn't created by hand.
Maybe that's just me being a skeptic.
Yeah, I wasn't trying to say 'There are no Browsers for DOS' - I was actually asking a serious question.
Oh DOS user, which browser are you using to post right now?

What about PPC Assembly?
I did some Z80 back in the day, but I quite fancy writing some assembly stuff for my PowerBook.
Anyone got any tips?

Also, the Colecovision could play it's competitors games, the Atari VCS. Apparently an Intellivision add-on was also in the works.
Or the Atari 7800.

It's okay, I read it as 'serif' the second time anyway.
As a screen font, yes it is.
Sans-serif is much better for screen, and serif, such as Times NR is better for printed works.
Default fonts and user defined stylesheets come into their own, here.
http://www.thinkofthechildren.co.uk/ indeed.
To be honest, I don't really have the need to go and find an FAQ.
If it didn't work in Moz and Firebird, then maybe I'd look, but it's more of a case of 'Why Bother' - for me, at least.
FAQs are all well and good, but there are times when it would be useful for a little bit of prompting.
Plus, Firebird is fugly in OS X.
I have Moz 1.6 and Firebird 0.71 on OS X, and I find Firebird to be lacking some little bits that prevent it from being anywhere near as good.
Examples would be things like plugins and things from mozdev.org that don't work, preferences that are not present in Firebird, etc.
Firebird is going to be a wonderful browser, it's already a very good browser, I just don't feel it's ready for (my) usage yet.
Firebird will be, but until then, vanilla Mozilla I'd say.
Firebird seems lacking in a few things for now.
$1 ready and waiting..

Anyone there, might well remember me as 'The British Guy'
You can buy a Mac with PPCLinux on it, over here actually. They also sell non-Apple PPC hardware.
