Now that September is almost two months behind us I'd like to do a little recap of some things that have grabbed my attention in that amount of time.
1] Americans are still trend following sheep. -- We officially have enough American flags people! Things have not changed. You are still in America. The guy/gal who pulls up behind you at the stop light is still in america as well. I'm sure he/she is quite aware of it. Perhaps he has forgotten momentarily, hence it's probably a good thing you have 68 damn flag stickers and banners all over your fucking Ford Aerostar.
2] God and Jesus have had their time back in the spotlight. -- Now that people forget things in a matter of a week or two, things will be back to normal. It amazes me that people have just rescently rushed out to discover God again. Religion is a rolling stampede of bible waving terrorist fighting wingnuts! Thrilling isn't it. Rediscovering old books that tell great tales of days gone past. Where are those two when you really need them? That's why I believe strictly in myself. I help me surive.
3] Many a fucker who have discovered that by using 'CC:' think they are doing the world a huge fucking favor by sending stupid ass OBL forwards to the world via email every day! -- Fuck you. The next time I see Bush done up as Rambo sitting in my inbox...or that stupid "objects in mirror.." let me finish that: "are more dumb than you could ever imagine"
My whole point of this being that it took some thing like a tragedy to pull a country "together". In this 'pulling together', America has once again made huge asses out of itself. What with "Attack on America", "Americas New War", "Opertaion Infinite Retardation", I mean what the fuck? I wish America could see what Americans all look like from a distance. Fields of waving 3" x 5" gas station puchased 'Merikan flags in one hand and a piss-water-beer-works Budweiser can in the other while chanting K-I-L-L! K-I-L-L! K-I-L-L!. It makes for a perfect joke. I see all of you running off to church every sunday now to proclaim faith in hopes that when the big shit hits the huge fan you will be saved from peril. I can not believe the depths to which people will go. There is no truth in all of these actions. The only truth lies in your heart, not on your bumper. If you've forgotten about all of it, that's probably best. One can rest assured that, even though we have wasted countless billions of dollars on a "counter attack" that in the future, there will exist more organizations that will control the world from even further underground. No matter what flag you wave, what god you crawl to, or what beer you drink, you will not be saved, but you'll damn sure have a lot of flags!
Are these communist or terroristic statements, I guess you'll see fit to judge them however you wish. It's just a case in point involving the mentatlity of what we are supposedly under "attack" for. Rarely, does it appear, that any other country around the world display such an overwhelming patrioitism that, in turn, looks like the next Power Rangers or Pokimon rage. Trading flags at school and baseball-like cards with jet fighters and war heroes. It sickens me that this is what is known as patriotic. If we all just shut up for a change and stare back at them silently, this only stands to leave them guessing. Instead we run out and attempt to capiatilze on something that needs to be revered as a learning experience. What I've seen represents the mindlessness that makes up our every day lives. Parked right next to the #3 (props to Dale!) stickers are the very things that represent the groundwork for Democracy.

I think that there are mandatory requirements for radio stations and what they must play set in deals with record companies for station sponsorship.
Have you ever noticed that when a band may be coming out with a new album, a radio station will have some older songs in rotation just to refresh your mind of a band that you just may have forgotten about? It's an actual marketing ploy to jog the memory of people due to the fact that the flood of commercialisation has created a short term memory in our minds.
For years and years, we have been forced to ingest the strongholds of said companies who search out, mold, mass produce and stamp the aproval for mass consumption. Amid the true talent that thrives, there are countless wastes of time and money that get far too much attention in a business that cares about making money and not making a statement. Which is what music was orginally intended. We all can recognise when things are done and done well. People's acknowledgement covers a varied ground of acceptability and popularity. Unfortunately, when appealing to the masses, the record companies have shot way below the bar for way too long. Thinking that a person wants/needs simplicity throughout their entire lives. It's a ball that has started rolling a long time ago. It reached it's terminal maximum speed and now it just hums along with out a care in the world. In order to maintain that momentum, record companies instill in our minds that what they do is a valid resource for the spreading of music to the masses. When in fact it takes a form of expression and turns it in to the next big thing. It's disgusting that we are programmed from the very beginnning to think that these practices are the norm and we should contribute to them blindly and faithfully. Independent music resources have, and always will be my preferred option for music that I feel can propell a mind further than most of what's available through corporate distribution.
I understand the process rather well. I also believe that the process has destroyed many good bands due to these such practices of mainstreaming what they feel should be available for mass cunsumption. By putting some thing great in front of every ones faces to digest and understand is not the best thing to do. Not all people understand the same things. Hence the diversity of music. Yet, when the lack of understanding wide spread acceptibality of all forms of music translate in to poor record sales, it means certain death for many good bands. What it translates to from there is that record companies really do not care about the Quality of entertainment made available, but more the Quantity that can be consumed.
Excuse me, but I do have to ask. Do you have any sort artistic rights tied to that "as gay as a football bat" thing? That's fucking funny.

That's the gayest thing I've heard in a while. I bet you say God is crying when it's raining outside don't you.
UPS and Other shipping companies do not care about your package. Any thing over ten peounds gets dropped, kicked, wet, shoved around in a truck with not a care in the world. Any thing under ten pounds gets thrown. When packing a box, keep in mind that UPS regulates packaging by saying that the box and contents must withstand a 4 foot drop without damage to the box or what's inside. Go figure.
I used to work for Theatrical Lighting Company in the Shipping and recieving Department. A co-worker order an iMac (cheezy, yes, but she's not too geek. So what ever.) any way, when the thing showed up. I had opened the S/R door waiting for him to bring it in. Expecting he'd cary it, he instead drops it on the floor of the truck and proceeds to roll the box end over end. He gets to about the third roll and I had to remind him what was in that box would eat up about a month of his pay. He didn't care for that and continued to roll the box in the door. Luckily the system was factory packed and no damage was sustained. Fed up with this BS I called UPS any way to complain and never heard any thing back from them.
I recommend any one shipping a system in the future to dismantle the boxen first. Ship smaller packages. Piece by piece, especially hard drives. Lazy ass UPS drivers like smaller packages better. Just a thought.
*I have never worked for UPS or FedEx, and hopefully never will have to, because they both suck at shipping.
