Remember back in college when the professors took off points for lack of documentation. Comments from them usually include something as, "Sure you know how it works, but what about me." It was the first commandment of programming. So I think it should be one of the first changes to be made by commiters and developers posting patches.
That includes all mighty Cox and Tourvalds taking some time to document some routine functions in the source code tree.
There is some commenting that is relevant and some that has no purpose being there at all. BSD people should hush up too. They are just as bad. Yeah I know I should be willing to sit down with a pepsi and read through yards and yards of code. I shouldn't have too. I should be able to get an idea of the logic behind a fuction from your documentation.
grade 60% you fail, repeat the class....
No it did rise up remember? Two years ago the goverment started spraying for mosqitos susposidly. It was really mind-wipe agent. The atlantians were really whales. They traded us vast biological technology which companies made a secret deal with the world goverments to keep under wraps. So the whales got pissed off with our ignorance and left.
They took Douglas Adams with them too and left a clone that died a while back. I'm surprised that I'm the only one that remembers this happening. What up with you people. Wake up the matrix has you.
Yes, 32 megabytes is quite a bit of ram and if developers would not have to use everybody else's libraries other than using one standard life would be great. I'm speaking about the LINUX. The operating system is gona eat up its portions of ram. Then X windows -- is gona have its pounds of flesh -- memory requirements. Next if your thinking about loading Gnome and Netscape 6.0 then that 32 megs is gona be gone. You'll be swaping like a cow swatting flies.:) I noticed in the screen shots they used Windowmaker. I think its rather clean and not as memory dependant as most window managers. Very cool eitherway. I still stand by my idea about building a new computer:)
peace all
300$ for the console, 150$ for the {Linux 0$, Keyboard 10$, Mouse $7.50, and a 40? gig harddrive $35.00, 100mbit nic $6.25}
Then add in your extra controller and memory card.
Is the harddrive USB? I don't think firewire is gona be much better. I'd just build a new computer with a Geforce 3 in it.
Rich kids and their toys....

Just choose one and fly with it.
I like C so I use GTK. It has a wrapper for C++ and extensions for perl, fortran, and etc. GTKPerl.
QT is also nice but I think your limited to using C++. Don't quote me on that statement.
I got this from a friend, read it, its funny. I don't really know if its true or not. Heres the link.

Its nice the Dreamcast is becoming afordable. I doubt the games are as cheap. Still if you think about it, businesses are using the same tatics others did years before. Atari cartridges were about 50$ or more. The actual console itself was around 100$, I believe.
Has anyone considered porting NetBSD to the Atari Jaguar. I could probably jury rig a zipdrive to it. What do you say?
Remember next generation?
Those neat little handhelds they had. Technology is certainly catching up. My sprint pcs phone looks just like a communicator from the original show. Be great to hit a pin on my coat and call home or where ever.
http://www.sitchin.com/ off topic but a great site non the least.

i bet you could cook a neat ham sandwich on a cdr. That metal foil would help to distribute the microwaves. May taste a little plastic'ky

Maybe if his (N)asm is as good as his C. - Screaming Kramer guitar instruction heheh
I believe they just released a version of Blender 3D for the Mac. Its not as costly as Maya or 3D Studio. Its free try it.
