    I would venture the thought that they are there to data mine for ideas and show off XP spinoffs. Maybe some new type of operating system that is in development. Do not BSD people tend to have booths there? So whats so wrong with them doing the same? IBM will probably be there. Everybody used to hate IBM. Now everybody loves them. They are in with the cheese of the Linux camp now.

    I don't think it was the greatest. The user interface was locked in. Much like NT (microsoft). So I never really cared for it.

    One day everybody will be upgrading their brains. You'll miss an upgrade session and be told your obsolette. Then you'll find out that a new break through has been developed where you can upgrade for just 10 easy payments of 19.95 with subscription to a frequent upgrade agreement.

    Business is simular to a bunch of bullies with a water tank holding koolaide. They put a spiggot on it and charge 5cents a glass. Then they complain about expense and charge 10cents for a half-glass.

    I want to patent Warezing. Is there a patent for it. I know its a term. But I want to patent it. It'd be fun. Everytime Cnet or somebody using it as a term, I'll take them to court. I'd be rich!!!!! Maybe not, patents defeat inovation. My sidewinder force-feedback is nice but it only works in 98SE. I looked everywhere for 2000 drivers. I'm speaking of the force feedback stuff. Actual the only feature I like is the Return to center....

    No way, I don't think Java was out in 1992. I think it was called Oak and was out in around 95/96 maybe. I could be wrong.

    American's should learn a lesson from what is happening now. Save your money. Don't spend all of your paycheck on useless toys like a playstation 2.

    Here's the delima though, alot of jobs depends on you spending money for that playstation 2. So if we save our money we are hurting the economy. What????? Yep this is true. Don't buy that $350,000 house and you are hurting the economy. Spending is good. I don't see how this fly's. Our whole economy is based on stupidity. Boy Enron was sure playing the game good. They were deffinately spending and helping the economy.

    So what do you think... I welcome comments to does that will see this........ Chances are nobody is going to read this so what the heck.

    I loved Sierra games as a kid. Now there are hardly any adventure games. All we got are Real Time Strategy and Action titles. No good adventure games. Its all about 3D first person shooters now. I hope its good. I think my favorite was Space Quest II: Vahauls Revenge. I liked the game box. The little salesmen in the transport tubes.

    Doom 4 should be an adventure game.

    Ya damn skippy DirectX is a dirty hack and look at it. Its slowly resembling OpenGL. Wow! Can you believe it? SDL is wonderful. Makes programming for X a little simpler. Once they get a few more things in Blender working we'll have a complete game development eviornment.

    I saw some pictures of a Playstation 2 Linux box running AOL on it. Maybe they got an idea to develop a linux client. We know they are up to something.

    If you worked for the government you weren't suppose to disclose the details of your projects. Hasn't security become tighter especially at the moment. Hell you probably just let Osamma know your runing 2.4.2 which probably has some choice exploits within 7.1 Redhat.

    Majority of my problems are X related. Specifically, Nvidia related.

    Check all your packages. I will sneak a peek at what the latest Redhat runs from time to time. X 4.1.0 is a good choice. I don't use the preemptive patch just yet but I may give it a try.

    Has anyone experienced problems with Quake3 Arena and Glibc 2.2.4 ? DGA support seems screwed period. I'm using the Alsa drivers on a Awe64 gold so the sound is fantastic.

    I guess they are doing the best they can. The source code for XP is probably millions of lines long. Then add in the irritated boss pushing you for a deadline. I would imagine stress takes its toll. There are huge security holes in all software. The jest is they are just waiting to be found. on a lighter note: hey Adult Swim is moving to Saturday's SOLID!!! Tenchi, Cowboy Bebop, Gundamn, holy shit can you believe it????? ROCK ON

    Let's go to venus. It has a really thick atmosphere. Lots of CO2 there too. Drop off a couple of palm trees and contianers of cenapede grass and we got Venusian paradise.

    Probably would be more complicated than that but Venus interests me more than Mars.

    I find it dissappointing that companies will just go and copy what everybody else has already done. Square is a decent company, I seriously hope the XI installment is grand. A better game idea would be to make a longer story. I think people complained about games being so long in the past that companies just caved in and made them shorter. I recall people complaining a few years ago. Then again they could be shorter becaused they are rushed to retail. Remember back in the day when it took 3 years for a title to come to beta testing. Quality! Now in 6 months companies have titles ready to go. Whatever Square decides on I hope they take their time.

    Nvidia has AGP drivers for the TNT cards last time I checked their website. I'll assume you were refering to Palm's handheld AGP support. Wow I wasn't aware they had AGP on those things. A little bit of reseach before you post something will keep the flock in check. peace

    My uncle has loads of cows in the pasture. I plan on just living off them eventually. Yet, we still have to pay taxes on land. So you would still need to associate yourself with the currency of trade in the country otherwise the gov. would just take your land. Also welfare would probably be out of the question becuase they would require you to receive a device to get that. We're allready required to get community water services. I don't know why I like ground water without the clorine myself. its a Grand time to be alive :) ----- -Born in east LA i wuz born in east LA... j/k
