You're of course trolling, but your lacking maturity makes this acceptable.

Nevertheless there is nothing more abstract and idiotic to say "I hate this country". What do you hate? Is its rolling hills, its rivers or panda bears? Or might it be that you have a problem with Chinas government and its struggling reformist arm?

Well, you should say so. There are millions of trolls on Slashdot, but why not aspire to be a troll with something to say?

While you're obviously trolling, it's not so much the DRM that gets people, but the price the end-user has to pay for this lousy offer: not only is the movie/show not transferrable to other computers or a DVD, no, the price is also too high for the crippled content.

I am sure that we would be bitching less if the offered content would be the more appropriate third of the price.

  12. NPR's Podcasts on NPR's Gaming Podcast · · Score: 3, Insightful
Being normally rather a healthy sceptic when it comes to the American media (who can blame me: look at the Fox network), I find NPR's programmes on par with auntie BBC's Radio4. They might not have the same sort of humour as those doyens of British culture, but podcasts like 'living on earth' and the accumulated 'technology' podcast are excellent (check out my homepage for podcast reviews).

This just shows that Americans can actually produce something worthwhile when they really want to. A rather hopeful notion, isn't it?
