My friend who knew me pre-children freaked when he first saw this behavior. Me, him, and my two daughters walking through the grocery store. My eyes looking ahead down the aisle, kids behind me: "Nope, put that back." He turned and said, "Dude! That's creepy!" He has a daughter now.
That oughta piss of the 12 people who bought a Windows phone. In all seriousness, it's a stupid move for someone who has an insignificant fraction of the market on phones and is trying to get back into the market they totally sucked before.
Steve Balmer throws a war-chair at Larry Ellison. It's quickly rebuffed with an arm guard. Larry summons an army of lawyers. Balmer, expecting his chair-throwing prowess to be all he'd need to win found himself out manned. Before he can summon his legal team for backup on his WIndows 7 phone, he's captured, brought before Ellison, and forced to bow! Ellison claims his role as Darklord of the IT world and the black sceptre is torn from Balmer's clenched fist. "I'll get you for this, Ellison! So help me..." (fade to black)
GPS would give them the same data, though. It's just a matter of being able to use WiFi instead of or to augment GPS data. In short, they had a solution, thought it'd be cool to use another, now are in hot water. It's a moot point. The worse that can happen is that they be forced to dump the data and not use it and be fined. The second worse is to just be fined and somehow sanitize the data and convince the government it's kosher, the least is that they are scolded for doing it and nothing happens. Ultimately, nothing will happen to them of any real consequence anyway.
Duh! It's Street View! You'd think they'd KNOW where they are!:) In all seriousness, they should have used GPS and this would have been a non-issue. Sad thing is, this kind of thing gets people in criminal court but will likely get Google a mere fine.
I firmly believe not everyone should vote. Stupid people, for instance. The king that are often interviewed in man-on-the-street interviews who can't tell you who the President is, Speaker of the House, and other basic information people should have before voting. Those people should stay home. That's why I always hope for rain on voting day, it keeps stupid and lazy people at home. Unfortunately, the rain called for my area is holding off.
We have about 40% of the population who aren't contributing to the income tax system we have. How is that fair?
How exactly is it going to "tax the hell" out of them? It only taxes new items, it replaces the income tax, there will be pre-bates for necessities for lower income citizens so they will actually get part of the 23% suggested rate back. It actually puts power back in the hands of the people. If you don't want your tax money going to whatever policy, then simply stop buying new items. And best of all, anytime anyone spends money on new things it's taxed. So we will actually get to tax mobsters, drug leaders, etc. when they go to buy those shiny new things they like. AND the government will be directly invested in the economy.
I think you can still buy Rare Earth MP3's on Amazon. I haven't checked the Apple Music Store but I would imagine they would have some. Why the fascination in China with the '70's group? Eh...the French love Jerry Lewis.
Is it me or does that guy look like a Zoolander reject!?

"Non-Survivor: Mars!" "Suicide Settlers" "Reds: All Out!"
That would require finding someone with a Windows phone. Happy hunting.

Neal Boortz went through this a groping at the airport. He says TSA stands for Touching Sensitive Areas.

I would argue that the UK isn't a person. :p But I see you're point.
The UK doesn't have Freedom of Speech. It's that simple.

Virus-ridden music files are now free again!
I agree and would do the same.
They're not damned until RMS damns them. :p
Which is ironic, when you think about it.
The jury could have simply nullified the ruling and been done with it.
Regressive to whom?

It's like a geek version of "What Not To Wear." Only code.
Seal the border, no more cheap labor. We're buying the oil, so I don't get it.
WTH are we "robbing" from Mexico?

You know it's been supposed to be released next year for a decade.
I can't wait to see the Duke Nukem Forever trailer that's debuting with it.
