Now all we need is an auto-timer to help talentless hacks with their comedic timing. You could even have different settings for it, like Gilbert Gottfried at one end and Stephen Wright at the other.
What does the license agreement say? It may specify granting a license to use the codec only with Windows. Just because you gave them money doesn't necessarily mean you can use the codec however you like.

Are you surprised or indignant that things take longer to reach rural areas? Isn't that why people live in rural areas, to get away from things that most people like? I mean if rural areas start having access to new technology, it will be more attractive for people to live there, and soon it won't be so rural anymore.

Escalators are also really expensive to maintain, maybe even more than elevators. You know why they're always out of service? Because they break down and need maintenance all the time.
So 8GB in your shirt pocket, even if you are European and wear really tight shirts. Ever take a dump and go to flush, only to have something fall out of your shirt pocket and into the bowl? Imagine dropping a real nasty log, I'm talking after having lunch at Taco Bell nasty, and then reaching over to flush, and your $6,000 8GB card containing all your company's data falls out of your shirt pocket and into that mess.
mini-squared? how about "iPod micro?" Apple isn't going 'doh!' over these just yet. By the time sales of the iPod mini start dropping off, those 8gb cards will be cheap enough for Apple to use them.
Get enough beer so that one or both of you pass out. Don't college kids drink any more? As an aside, you know your roomate is just checking out p*rn when you're sleeping, right? Swap his 'hand' lotion for some super glue, that should cut down on the noise.
Hey that comment is probably right on the mark. Not only will they be saving those fees going out, they'll be able to collect those fees from their competitors.
In countries that don't have a high percentage of land line penetration, wireless comm often expand at a faster rate and overtake land lines. Its easier and cheaper to roll out cell networks than it is to lay cable to everyone house.
Ever try Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk? Traditionally it is made with a per-cup coffee press, with condensed milk mixed in. It is strong and sweet. Restaurants serve it both hot and on ice. I agree that most instant coffee is crap, but at home I drink an instant Vietnamese coffee, and I swear it is not bad at all, especially if you like your coffee sweet. You can see the version I like here: Vinacafe. It's the one called "3 in 1 milk coffee." Go to an Asian supermarket and look for it.
They showed some girl who lost a bunch of weight after she started playing DDR. Not only that she found new friends, got a new boyfriend etc. People will exercise if they think its fun.
The company could install a camera at the card swiping station. They wouldn't have to check it all the time, but it would keep a record of punchin/punchouts, and it would deter punching in your friends.
If you don't want to give up your identity in public, wear a ski mask. By doing so, you're taking steps to maintain your privacy, and you'll be sure to avoid being stopped for a false positive.
It probably won't be a mainstream hit, but it could be a 'cult' hit. A minute might be longer than you think. I mean most tv commercials are 30 seconds, some are even 15 seconds.
Hey, from what I can tell, Lynx games run smoother than those N-Gage games. In the commercial I saw (it may have been Tony Hawk), the N-Gage gameplay was obviously jerky. Who would buy that?
But how many of those are 'special moves' (I've never played VF4) e.g. moves worth earning through leveling up? I just imagine a straight VF RPG going like this: your character starts out with one punch and one kick and your reward for beating up a hundred drunks is learning the 'back kick' or something like that. Wouldn't you rather just play VF4 and get those 100+ moves right away?
Well, this guy is trying to bring broadband to Malawi http://www.vdomck.org/blog/2005/07/22/diy-broadban d-in-malawi
This sounds similar to how They Might Be Giants had (have?) a song on the outgoing message of a answering machine that anyone could call for a listen.

Isn't that how Saturday Night Live works? Or any tv comedy show for that matter?

Anyone know? I didn't see it in the article.

This has got to be the most buzz Caridi has received in a long time. His PR people must be leaking these screeners on purpose!
Something that will underwhelm the public? Maybe a GameCube mini?

The problem is the one guy who opens the fridge door and can't make up his mind what to eat, letting all the oxygen out of the spaceship.
