    Crooked mechanic: Windows update
    Lemons: Windows (please pass a lemon law for this crap OS)
    Mclaren F1: GNU/Linux (or is linux an original VW which became a porsche?)
    Car Jackers: script kiddies/spyware/adware

      Of course You need road signs, maps, short cuts, scenic routes and many other things. "Drivers training" should be a requirement.

    Yep, I've been saying this for years. Microsoft intentionally creates back doors and when users find them they claim it's a bug and close it. DHS, CIA, FBI and NSA have a list of "unknowns" that they use for their handy work. Use GNU/Linux.

    Why must everyone push "cheap PCs" via linux. Any vendor that offers a cheap linux PC should also offer an expensive linux PC. Linux isn't about cheap, It's about power and freedom.
      Of course, Windows is also about power, but the power is not yours.

    You don't have to stick around and take it. You can protest, move to "revver" or move to "Austria" deppending on what your issue is.

    Formal request:
    Someone needs to count the vulnerabilities in:

    1) XP
    2) Minimal SUSE linux install
    3) XP with specific of Apps, servers, etc.
    4) SUSE linux with specific Apps, servers, etc.

    Give us these numbers and then we have something to talk about.

    Vista isn't for OS upgraders. It will be Your ONLY choice on DELL, HP and all the other 'big' PC manufacturers. As PCs fail, adoption WILL happen. Those with the ability can delay for a while. At some point it will be Vista, Linux or Mac assuming linux does not get locked out at the hardware level.

    A required feature of the EULA should be a viewer that makes you actually read the EULA by requiring you to press "PAGE DOWN" every 20 seconds (so you have time to read each page) for each page in the agreement. If software manufactures were forced to provide this to insure that EULA were read, EULA's would be short.

      Just like sales tax on internet shopping, this free for all that we currently enjoy is strickly to aid/fund the growth of the internet. Now that the internet has nearly achieved full coverage it will get turned against you. Enjoy.

    The current laws don't seem to be stoping the traders. New laws from a slightly different angle will not help.

      The analog hole will always exist as long as 'we' amature musicians can buy microphones and 'us' engineers can buy or design data aquisition hardware (MP3's are just data points). Can't wait to make my PIC based Analog to digital converter/recorder.

      People who have more freedom than US citizens will not be affected.
