    Is the caddy finally back to put an end to scratched Disks?

    Unless I'm mistaken, drives don't scratch disks, so having a caddy won't mean and end to scratched disks. If I recall correctly a caddy wasn't exactly cheap and most people only had a few which were shared among many disks.

    Oh no, we need to get these violent people off the streets before they e-mail again!

    Personally I'd rather see a spammer get some hard time than see the government get 5,000 as a supposed punishment.

    It's true that you have to hit people in the pocket to really make it hurt, but I'm against these greedy bastards pocketing the cash. Take the "fine" and disseminate it amongst the victims.

    That might work, but you would probably want some gyro mounted camera otherwise the image may be shaky as all hell. Anyone has a place to host, I just mirrored the site locally but have no place to host.

    But I've yet to see someone stick to thier guns when offered a billion.

    If they firmly believe they can defeat Microsoft (and I'm not talking wishful thinking here), then they will not accept a payoff. However, if after Microsoft calls on the dogs of war and Eolas realizes they stand no chance, they will take the money and run. They're looking to remembered as the "David who slew Goliath". If that won't happen, might as well get a consolation prize (lots of money).

    Well actually one of the problems I have is the ridiculous distance for an AU. I'd think it would have made more sense to make an AU 100 Millions miles or 1 billion miles so as to make calculations easier. Then they can simply say Earth is 0.93 AU or 0.093 AU. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think the current choice for the distance is kinda dumb.

    Well when the capsule containing the record breaks apart upon entering their atmosphere, people on that planet may mistake the 12" record for a flying disc. Of course they'll swear to everyone that they saw a flying disc zooming across the sky. Naturally everyone will tell them that they are mental and to stop making up stories.
