Actually... many of them use an obfuscated database to store the songs, just like the iPod. This has been the case going back to the first hard drive based player I got, the Rio Karma.
At least not in the traditional sense of what we all think of when we speak of Photoshop. The new model is a web based subscription app. Which means I will no longer be buying Photoshop.
The only other options are satellite and DSL... they successfully prevented competition when they threw their "we no share our cables" fit awhile back.
You are confusing the Republican voters, who will often just elect the person with the (R) next to their name, and their representatives, who will often do things that the voters do not want (but at least their not godless democrats!).
While I'm not a fan of the system, what you are paying for is mostly the motion tracking system. I do have the first generation dev kit and it's rather nice compared to similar prior systems (Virtual-IO for example). But it is also majorly over hyped and Facebooks involvement was a death blow for me. But that's just me...
It's inherent in how they work. Rather then trying to secure them, which I don't think can be done, just start assuming they are insecure and treat them as such. Don't hold a private, personal conversation in a crowded public room and don't send text messages you don't want other people to see.
Perhaps I'm not understanding... but as my PayPal and eBay accounts have different passwords and i have two factor authentication setup using a DigiPass 5 rotating cypher key, I am unable to replicate what is being reported. No mater what, I am prompted for my DigiPass token key and password.
There is 2GB of memory for the OS, personal settings, apps, etc. If you can not boot the device, you can not access this memory to clear it. You may be SOL.
To extort money from someone, you need to threaten them with something. Netflix has no leverage because their customers will most often have no choice in ISPs.
When I installed 10.10, a dialog popped up asking me to check these settings. It was 100% obvious.
is not news. But I still smell a lawsuit in the works if things went down as described.
Huh... I would'a guessed they were long gone by now.
You forgot step 3.5) Where the "sapphire glass" turns out to not meet the specifications Apple requested and GTAT committed to providing.
We eat them, and if they're so smart why don't they defend themselves?!

just check the couch cushions, I'm sure they've got a few hundred million in there amongst the Cheetos and lost tv remotes.

It was pushed out as a bug fix update and bundled in with a bunch of others so you wouldn't notice that they're trying to fix a major problem.
"lying bastard" is more or less their job description.
These sort of things are legal now. Corporations are people, and people have free speech, and spending money is speech.

There is more data in heaven and earth then is listed in the posted article.
Around half of STEM workers have no four year degree, to me that is more interesting.
